Feel free to email me with your commenets. Friday, May 14, 2010. D-Star expands in Pittsburgh. It is now public knowledge that the North Hills Amateur Radio Club. Will be purchasing equipment at this years Dayton Hamvention to put a second D-Star repeater.

There are five repeaters in the greater Pittsburgh area. All of the repeaters use open carrier squelch and are available 24 hours a day. Emergency traffic does take priority in all cases. The new repeater is operating on 146.82MHz with the callsign W3EXW C. It shares the same site (WQED-TV in Oakland), the same antenna, the same feed line, and the same controller as W3EXW B on 444.35MHz. While it shares a lot with our UHF D-Star repeater, it is a separate repeater. At 9 pm - 147.090 - Pittsburgh Area...
