Podcast, they mentioned adopting the communication style of the other person to be perceived as a better communicator yourself. This is great advice I've had personal experience with, so I'm passing it on to others for their benefit. This requires a basic understanding of the DiSC personality profile. I have also listened to this podcast from managertools.com and found it very interesting.

Doing the same thing over and over can seem redundant.but take a break and you'll miss it.eventually. Stephen R. Covey taught "Sharpen The Saw" as the 7th principle in his 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Take a break. Think about something else. Re-focus. Sleep on it. Re-load/fuel/start, etc. As you resume, you'll be more effective. I'm working on a photo a day project.

Tuesday, December 11, 2012. Our little Lady Bug turned 1 year old! We did a Ladybug theme party (of course) and had a few friends over for cake. Xanthie didnt really get that the party was for her, but once JR showed her how to eat her cake (with her hands), she got that the cake was for her. No matter how this last picture looks, the kids LOVED having Grandma and Grandpa here. It was just bedtime at the moment.and JR was ready! But at least I made him some yummy creme brulee for his birthday "cake"....

Tuesday, April 24, 2012. I caught a few cute moments of our adorable kids. They are growing so fast! Xanthis has really mastered the art of rolling over. Looks like I cant leave her on the couch any more! The boys have started counting. At least I hear it. :) Mostly, they get to 3 and then go backwards. "One, Two, Three, Two, Three, Two, Three." Tuesday, November 13, 2012. We had a busy month! First we went to Washington for my nieces' baptisms. Tina and her family picked up the kids and I in her 15 seater van and we made the 14 hour drive to Moses Lake, WA. The drive was pretty painless.at least for me. Tina drove and her kids entertained my kids. There was hardly any fussing! While we were there we had such a great time! It turned out so tasty! Saturday was the baptism, and then BBQ. Sydney had quite the party! Leif pushing JR on the swing.

Tuesday, July 24, 2012. We have done a few fun things this July. Before JP's surgery he was able to play in the pool with JR. It may only be 3 feet wide, but its big enough to have some fun in! They love to splash around. Every Tuesday and Friday the "Trash man" comes to our house. The boys hear him and run to the couch to watch the show. JR saying "Thank you" for the broom. JP smiling for the camera.he forgot about his broom when the camera came out. What a ham! Xanthie got her first taste of fresh lime...
