Learning, laughing and loving together. A homeschooling month in Spain part 1 – Roadtrip to Andalucia. When you homeschool, you have the flexibility to learn. You want – and. You want. So if you want to take off on a big adventure in the middle of a school term, you can. That’s exactly what we did this winter. I began planning our 5-week-trip. There when I was twenty-two. Car ready to go with all the essentials, like 2 guitars and a giant Lego brick. Pet passports and a Spanish house. First we had to dec...

A homeschooling month in Spain
http://www.navigatingbyjoy.com/2015/05/10/a-homeschooling-month-in-spain-part-2
Learning, laughing and loving together. A Homeschooling month in Spain – Part 2. I sit on the floor, surrounded by half-packed suitcases. It’s 4pm on a rainy Sunday afternoon, and outside the sky is darkening as the sun sets. In three days I will be climbing into our Ford Galaxy with my 11-year-old and my 10-year-old, and driving to the other side of Europe. Packing these same suitcases, my head will be full of new memories. What adventures do the next five weeks have in store for us? Has J(10), who hasn...

Recursos innovadores. This entry is also available in: Inglés. Un juego de letras A Letter Game.

Teaching My Children to Read in Two Languages. Middot; 17 comments. By Ana Paula G. Mumy. Photo Credit: David D. He thought of homeschooling bilingually was initially overwhelming to me. I knew I wanted my children to read and write in both Portuguese and English, but I had no idea how I would accomplish that. I feared I would confuse my kids or make the process of learning to read more difficult by presenting two phonics systems. It is important for me to clarify here that I do everything in my power to...

Laugh, Love, Learn. Living positively with intensity and sensitivity (overexcitabilities). About Lucinda – Laugh Love Learn. START HERE . . . Why our Intense Children Trigger our Suppressed Pain. I remember lying in the bath with my daughter when she was just a few weeks old, feeling simultaneously exhausted and utterly overwhelmed by the intensity of my love. Tears began to flow, and at some point I became aware that I was weeping for myself. For what I’d never had. As part of my work for PowerWood.

Discovering Moments of Happily Ever After. October 18, 2014. I for one am pretty proud of them……even if there is a lot left to be desired! I used Photoshop Elements 12 for editing and since I have a really crapping understanding of how to work with layer masks, most of my edits were done using adjustment layers, and some actions for the eyes. If you have some feedback on my technical skill, please share! Its Just Us…. October 18, 2014. You did an amazing job! October 19, 2014. Both your girls look lovely!

¡Viaje A Madrid! – Homeschool Dad
http://www.homeschooldad.com/viaje-a-madrid
A couple of weeks ago, on the spur of the moment, I decided to take the kids to Madrid, Spain. Inez was en route to New York for business, I’d heard good things about Madrid, I can understand and speak Spanish (un poquito), flights weren’t that expensive, our schedule was wide open,….and basically because we COULD! This really is precisely why we do what we do. So the trip…. Well, we left on a Tuesday morning on Air Europa and, ironically, booked a room at the Hotel Europa. In Madrid we did our usual.
