http://dmpinko.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Colorado in early October. Emily and I visited the Rocky Mountains National Park near Estes Park at the start of October. We flew to Denver from Chicago. Emily took a seat in the cockpit prior to take-off. In addition to a selection of photographs, I have included some stats from our hike that were recorded using a GPS and heart-rate monitor. Day 1: 8.5 km, 500 m of climbing ( Garmin stats. Day 2: 10.8 km, 628 m of climbing ( Garmin stats. Our second day of hiking was the mo...

The Objective Fox: The Fraser Coast
http://dmpinko.blogspot.com/2012/07/fraser-coast.html
Monday, July 09, 2012. Emily and I headed south from Agnes Water and stopped in for tea at a little cafe in Rosedale. Later, we took a dip at Moore Park Beach, just north of Bundaberg. The surf was pretty calm here. Later we took some lunch in town and continued heading south. There were a few vehicles travelling along the beach here. (It's okay to drive on the sand in parts of the Fraser coast.) However, you must be aware of the tides! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am a chemist from central west...

The Objective Fox: January 2012
http://dmpinko.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 09, 2012. My return to Australia for a second back-to-back summer. In mid-October, I arrived back in Sydney and some great mates joined me for a few celebratory drinks. Here we are at the Scary Canary. We based ourselves here and then had a super-touristy long weekend in Sydney that included a monorail ride, a trip to Manly on the ferry, shoe shopping and delicious cocktails. Back in Cowra, I found that Puss was doing very well! In November, the Pinkerton men headed to Tathra for a week o...

The Objective Fox: Snorkelling around Lady Musgrave Island
http://dmpinko.blogspot.com/2012/07/snorkelling-around-lady-musgrave-island.html
Thursday, July 05, 2012. Snorkelling around Lady Musgrave Island. Here's a few different types of coral that Em and I swam by in the southern section of the Great Barrier Reef, near Lady Musgrave Island. A nice bloke called Allan took a photo of Emily and I with my old-school camera (which was taking on water). And here we are next to the boat between dives and probably talking about the lack of clownfish. Alan snapped this guy but somehow we missed him. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am a Fish.

http://swirlyness.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Creating an urban homestead and news about life. Friday, November 23, 2007. I wanted to write a post on the benefits of flowers and water. This is a shot of my friend's front yard. She owns her lovely home, and I am still sharing while I am looking for a place to buying and continuing to save. The benefits of flowers and water in your garden are significant. Hmm, that's all I can think of for now, but if you can add anything please comment on this post. Ta and talk next week. Wednesday, November 21, 2007.

Creating an urban homestead and news about life. Friday, October 26, 2007. The Art of Bottling. This week I spent a lovely evening with some new friends bottling pears. It was a lovely night and a great time to get to know them better, enjoying a lovely wholesome dinner with some wine with the sound of bottles clinking in the background. Looking out through the north facing passive solar windows at the darkening bush enjoying the small things. I bought some bottles at op shops and garage sales and then h...
