https://dubdotdash.blogspot.com/2015/07/gene-dudley-group-new-album-zambidoose.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Gene Dudley Group - new album Zambidoose out now. A href="http:/ thegenedudleygroup.bandcamp.com/album/zambidoose" Zambidoose by The Gene Dudley Group /a. Some great funky bizznizz going down here on the second album from this UK crew. "Following on from 2013’s debut long-player, Saturday Shifting. Played almost every note himself, his second offering is very much a product of the relationships he’s built up over the past two years. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). In the mean ...

Thursday, July 09, 2015. Henry Stone's Miami Soul - The Record Man's Finest 45s. Henry Stones Miami Soul - The Record Mans Finest 45s by Various. The title alone should tell you pretty much all you need to know about this wicked compilation from UK label Athens of the North. Henry Stone, the man behind TK Records, made stars of Betty Wright, Clarence Reid (a.k.a Blowfly), Little Beaver, KC and the Sunshine Band and many more. This collections is pure gold. The music scene in Miami and indeed, Florida, at...
Dub dot dash: Indie record stores in NZ
https://dubdotdash.blogspot.com/p/indie-record-stores-in-nz.html
Indie record stores in NZ. How many independent record stores are left in New Zealand? The folk at Amplifier.co.nz threw this question out on Twitter recently, and pulled together this list. Any additions or corrections, please let me know in the comments or via email. With the decline in physical music sales in NZ over the past few years and events like the Christchurch earthquake there seems to have been a lot of stores closing. Rhythm Compact Discs (Ponsonby). 69 Mt Eden Rd. 11 Veronica st, New Lynn).
Dub dot dash: Webstock

Wednesday, February 23, 2011. This is a statement of fact. Has grown from a small gathering back in 2006 to around 750 people this year. It's an incredible event; their attention to detail in every aspect of what they do is just jaw-droppingly good. And I'm not just saying that cos they got me back to be the official Webstock DJ for the second year running. The speakers this year ranged in subject matter from comics. To music to infographics. Whenever one of the Webstock speakers swear, all eyes shoot to...

Tuesday, March 02, 2010. Long Player, Short Changed. Hollie Smith has been doing a ton of press lately, promoting her second album, due out March 15, called Humour and the misfortune of others. She's been talking about the ups and downs following the release her debut album, Long Player,. In early 2007. Its sounds like quite a story. As Hollie has said, the whole tale will take some time to come out, but the details she's revealed so far are pretty horrifying. Hollie told the NZ Herald's Greg Dixon.

Innersound: Fred Savage
http://deepinnersound.blogspot.com/2011/11/fred-savage.html
Music from the Inner Ear. Sunday, 6 November 2011. Fred Savage is one such child star, the perpetually blemish-free Kevin Arnold, whose trials and tribulations centred around growing up in the 1960's with a speccy geek of a best friend and a love interest in the beautiful girl next door with impossibly lustrous locks. It wasn't coke, but it wasn't heroin. What was it? Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). London, Dalston, United Kingdom. View my complete profile. Nicolas J...

Music from the Inner Ear. Sunday, 6 November 2011. Love Is The Function Of Death. Here's a new techno track from me. It's inspired by reading Yevgeny Zamyatin's dystopian masterpiece 'We'. Innersound: August 2011
http://deepinnersound.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Music from the Inner Ear. Tuesday, 30 August 2011. You slave and slave and try not to do bad things to others (to yourself is okay) and then finally people start noticing what you're up to. When Andrew Lo-Train and I started Mirrorcube a couple of years back and then Dalston Sunday Club earlier this year, we expected to be famous within minutes. Nevertheless we're quite happy to have people recognize us for our god-given talents, however long it takes. Links to this post. Labels: Dalston Sunday Club.

Innersound: End of the Road
http://deepinnersound.blogspot.com/2013/05/end-of-road.html
Music from the Inner Ear. Friday, 31 May 2013. End of the Road. No, not the Lugz 'n hugs Boyz II Men song, just a farewell to this blog for a while. As I write more exclusively about electronic music these past few years I don't really feel the need to post here. Instead, head over to LWE. Where I produce the podcasts, write the odd review and interview the hell out of some of the world's best house and techno artists. Or if you like my occasional stream of nonsenseness scrawlings, head over to my Tumblr.
