http://flowercents.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Enthusiastic Gardener, Backyard Birder, and Nature Lover. Friday, 16 January 2015. Slug and Snail resistant Annuals. Only 63 days till Spring! Here's a list of some annuals that are resistant to slugs and snails, especially after they have grown past the seedling stage with their own true leaves. I don't know about you, but I find slugs to be one of the most disgusting creatures on earth and I have no desire to plant their favourites. Happy Planning! Any plant with fuzzy leaves. http://flowercents.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Enthusiastic Gardener, Backyard Birder, and Nature Lover. Tuesday, 4 August 2015. It's been been a hot and dry summer here, and many plants are stressed out and some are even dying. You can even see the effects of the drought in the native plants and trees. I can't recall this ever happening before and I've lived in this area my whole life. My dear friend gave me some hollyhocks seeds a couple of years ago, and they are blooming now. I've never grown them before but they are pretty, and very tall!

It's easy to find lists of plants that tolerate drought, but what about a list of plants that tolerate rain? Alyssum (my favourite are Carpet of snow, New carpet of snow. and Royal Carpet). California Poppies (Purple Glean is a pretty variety). Dianthus (may live over the winter). Nasturtiums (mine always get tons of aphids).
