One of the more interesting characters who plays an important role in all six movies is the droid, R2-D2. So I decided to look at the evidence from the films, and after doing so, I came to the conclusion that R2-D2 is in fact female. Here is why:. R2 was working as a waitress on Jabba’s cocktail barge. The connecting flight to Port-au-Prince was 50 minutes after touchdown, and then a six hour bus ride to the town of St. Louis du Nord. Monday, August 31, 2009. My Photography Bucket List. So I got out a pen and some paper, and started brainstorming all the things I'd like to photograph in my lifetime. Here's what I came up with, grouped into a few categories. Eiffel Tower (again, now that I know what I'm doing, somewhat). Great Wall of China. Acropolis/Parthenon (again, see Eiffel Tower). Monday, December 22, 2014. It's time for our now only blog post for the year; the one where we explain the pictures on the Christmas card, and maybe add a few others that we didn't have room for. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. The Great Northern Adventure, Day 7: Gold. Friday, July 9, 2010. We walked to "downtown" Fairbanks, finding a coffee place called Mocha Dan's where we got some breakfast sammiches and coffee, avoiding hotel restaurants and their $14/person sorry buffets. A relatively short ride on the bus to a riverboat ride on the paddlewheeler "Discovery III.". This took about three hours, including a one hour stop at a mock native village culture display. Sunday, January 16, 2011. 2010 in Pictures and Words. If you got a Christmas Card from us, it looked like this. If not, well, here you go. So here we go, 2010, in summary. It snowed. A lot (for Mebane). Eight inches in one storm was the most snow we'd seen since 2002, and we tried to make the most of it, despite not really having much on the way of snow toys. Zoe turned 10 (not pictured). Dave spent two weeks in England for work (also not pictured). The Big Roth Family Vacation to Alaska and Canada.
