How to not suck at Spanish: April 2009
http://sucknot-spanish.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
How to not suck at Spanish. Thursday, April 23, 2009. SF is not my abbreviation of choice. I was always a fan of "Frisco," although since I know nearly everyone disapproves of that; I usually just spell it all out. SFO would be the perfect candidate, except that people actually call the airport here by those call letters - it would be like calling Los Angeles LAX, but I mean, I guess we already call it LA, and that is shorter ;D. The first step is Pimsleur Basic - Advanced. All 100 lessons. So fa...

Si quiero to improve mi castellano. Me gusta Spanglish, pero mas castelleno es preferable. I can already read about ten times the amount of I can produce, just because I know French and English. How to not suck at Japanese: March 2009
http://sucknot-japanese.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
How to not suck at Japanese. Thursday, March 19, 2009. Someone said, がんばってよ to me today, and I realized that it actually has a pretty deep resonance with me. My reply to that part of the e-mail (he had asked about the transliteration, so I corrected him and then [transliteration REMOVED cuz this blog is not about ローマ字]):. Yeah, I will." Man, I know it's over-said (among learners, I mean, and anime nerds), but がんばって actually retains a ton of meaning for me. I love it.". Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

How to not suck at Spanish: First key
http://sucknot-spanish.blogspot.com/2009/05/first-key.html
How to not suck at Spanish. Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Actually find time to study. This has been difficult of late on my end, but I think I will start taking notes off the bilingual signs in all the trains I ride - I can learn words like:. Shoot, I know there are more words! D unicamente - did I spell that right? Anyways, if I take notes and think a little harder (and get a little more sleep, no doubt) then I can at least talk about what to do in the event of a train emergency :D. More hobby, less bullshit.

How to not suck at Japanese: JLPT Study so far
http://sucknot-japanese.blogspot.com/2010/04/jlpt-study-so-far.html
How to not suck at Japanese. Friday, April 30, 2010. JLPT Study so far. Well, I'm trying to get caught up on kanji, mostly. That and vocab is where I hurt. I retain grammar the best, although it's been a while since I wasn't straight up reviewing, so we'll see how I fare. I think I can do it. I have a LOT of textbooks. They all have example sentences and some of them have drills. Cross studying (out of order, heavens! Also, it's time to study. This blog has been giving me some grief lately. Some ...
