Design, DIY and living the kiwi dream of home renovation in New Zealand. The last of the wallpaper. Those of you with greater (really… much greater) than average powers of observation may have noticed something in my last post about our fancy new fireplace. Which is still up there in my Top 2 list of best things this winter)… we no longer have wallpaper in our lounge. Or the front bedroom. Actually… there is NO WALLPAPER left in our entire house! So… photos. Short and sweet. The lounge:. July 3, 2015.

Design, DIY and living the kiwi dream of home renovation in New Zealand. Hotter… colder… cold… hotter… hot! Outside, the wind is howling, and the rain is lashing the window in violent gusts. Inside, I can hear the faint roar of logs burning, and I can feel a rosy warmth at my back. (And there the romance novel stops thank goodness! Each time I’ve arrived home today it’s been off with the jacket and hat and scarf, and on with… oh! 8230;We have warm! Back in 2011, our fireplace has looked like this:. And I...
Our Progress | Duck Egg Blue

Design, DIY and living the kiwi dream of home renovation in New Zealand. After a year of traipsing through open homes every weekend and attending numerous auctions, we eventually moved into our sweet little house in suburban Auckland the day our Master W turned 6 months. He, followed by his little sister Miss E, have grown up to the sound of saws and hammering. Two children, and one house becoming a home – this is what we call progress:. Demolish tiled front steps and re-concrete. Build a new fence.

http://destitutedesigner.blogspot.com/2012/01/wallpaper-feature-wall-check.html
Welcome to my blog, hope you enjoy reading. Saturday, January 14, 2012. Wallpaper feature wall: CHECK! The feature wall is all but finished (bar a couple of patch ups that need doing because I wasn't sent enough of a couple of the drops. gah! They are on order though.) in Miss 3's room. The photos don't quite do the colours justice, but here it is! Now I just need to add the rest of the 'decorations' and we're good to move in. Feels so good to be pretty much finished! Welcome to my blog, hope you enjoy reading. Monday, November 14, 2011. Not yet ripe for photographing either - but in the meantime, I've been busy with some easy craft projects to help spruce the place up! Probably the only thing I could photograph would be the kitchen, actually - which WAS a deep brick red colour just over a week ago, and is now a bright, crisp and inviting WHITE! The only problem is. silly me. I forgot to take a 'before' photo! This is how ugly they were BEFORE:. Posted by Natalie No-c...

Duck Egg Blue | Design, DIY and living the kiwi dream of home renovation in New Zealand
Design, DIY and living the kiwi dream of home renovation in New Zealand. For a king and a fairy princess. Got me a bit motivated to move things along another step in the kids bedroom. Actually it was less that, than the fact Miss E’s feet were hanging over the end of her toddler bed – a sure sign she was ready for a “proper big bed”! So the last couple of weekends have been about furniture shuffling and a little shelf install. Fun times! And version 4.6 of the kids room is…. here! September 25, 2015.
