Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Yesterday I signed up for the 12 Week Body Transformation Challenge. My friend has rung me to encourage me, kick my butt and remind me that i'm the queen of excuses and she isn't going to listen to anymore of them. I love her for that. She is right, i am the queen of excuses. I blame everything from hormones, stress, bad metabolism to just plain laziness for my failures at previous diets. Thursday, April 15, 2010. Well what a difference 2 months make. In my last entry i was feeling sorry for myself, unhappy, depressed and frustrated. Well now things have changed. I went back on my meds which improved the mind, i have lost a bit more weight and im finally seeing improvements in my running. So now im home, have got the diet back on track, have set some realistic goals for the coming months, and have got back into training. Life is looking pretty good all things considered.

Thursday, October 7, 2010. I wonder if how im feeling now is post race letdown or whether its a reaction to seeing a really bad photo of myself. I think its probably a bit of both. I raced (well competed in) the Gold Coast Sprintman triathlon on the weekend. It was a great race in rather interesting conditions. It poured all day and was the wettest weather i have ever ridden a bike in. I love it, it was cool and i didnt have to worry about overheating. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Thursday, July 7, 2011. Wow, its week 7 of the 12wbt program already. My goodness that has passed quick and i have been completely hopeless. I will not say that i have been a failure because that would indicate that i have learnt nothing and achieved nothing. I have learnt so much, changed some bad habits and for once been truly honest with myself. I have recognised my self sabotaging habits, my warped sense of entitlement in regards to food and set up a good workout system.

I made as per recipe but for the yogurt used Jalna full fat greek yoghurt. Also after serving this morning, I mixed in a grated apple. Made sure I got my exercise done in the afternoon as I know it never happens at night time! It is toning day today so did a pump class with a warm up and cool down walk on the treadmill. Wednesday, 31 August 2011. 12WBT Preseason task 3 - Goal setting. It's goal setting time! Do you make New Year's Resolutions and don't stick to them? I'm guilty of this too, and often it's because we don't make specific resolutions - just general, "lose weight", "get fit" etc. But because they aren't specific, we don't have any clear plan as to how to achieve them. One thing Michelle advocates in the 12WBT, but I have also seen many times in corporate training etc, is to make your goals. 1 Lose 8 kg.
