Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Round 5 and 6.THE END! These last two rounds were not the worst, but they weren't the best either. The side effects are compounding and they all seem to be hanging around a lot longer. Overall, the nausea hasn't been too bad, but Ken's energy level and stamina is not what it normally is. It becomes challenging to get your mind "right" when you've been sick for weeks on end. At this point we are done! We are so thankful to all of you who've helped along the way!

Sunday, January 1, 2012. I am so happy to report that round four has been the best so far. This round resembled the second and of course Ken isn't nausea or pain free, but it seems to be so much more manageable. Ken tries to keep busy during waves of nausea and sickness. He's been walking a lot, entertaining Stella with his ukulele, and he even made the bed. What! I guess he really needed to keep busy! January 4, 2012 at 4:27 PM. Saturday, January 7, 2012. Yesterday we met with Ken's doctor to review the PET scan. Every lymph node is now in the normal size range, except one in the pelvic area. This one has made significant progress though, and has gone down by a quarter of its original size. This is better news than expected and it gives us hope that the cancer will be completely gone once Ken's treatment is complete. We are both thrilled! Sunday, January 1, 2012. Friday, May 4, 2012. We took a little trip out to Denver last week and almost didn’t come back we loved it so much. My two years of riding the company bus (US Airways) back and forth from Philadelphia to Charlotte finally paid off as we were upgraded in both directions, which was a nice change of pace – especially when you’re not traveling for business. For some hiking along the Flatirons and lunch in town. We were completely oblivious to the fact that it was April 20. Labels: Friends and Family.

Friday, February 22, 2013. Paris, France (February 2013). Much like last year, we decided to take a little trip after the holidays to unwind. Dublin in January (2012) worked out pretty well for us so we decided to head back to Europe, but in February along with our good friends, Jessica and Andrew Rosen. Andrew and Denise grew up in South Jersey and attend the University of Delaware together. Dinner at historic La Couples Thursday night we turned in early in anticipation of a REALLY big day on Friday.
