Tuesday, June 6, 2017. Today I make this blog entry from MURHEC (Mbarara University Referral Hospital Eye Center). This is Tuesday afternoon, but our patients started arriving on Sunday, shortly after lunch. We had 50 patients from Ishaka and Bwambara arrive on Sunday and another 16 from Rukungiri yesterday. On Monday, we were able to examine all of the patients and complete 18 cataract surgeries. I think that we will be busy here at least through Thursday and possibly into Friday. This is what we Due!

Wednesday, May 20, 2015. What a difference a year can make! I write this blog from the ministry machine as we make our way back to Mbarara. We have just finished our 3 days of clinic in Ishaka. The Due Unto Others/Renewal Health Network/Call2Africa team has seen and treated over 730 patients, after which we are a little leg weary. Our spirits, however, are energized as we have seen more than 130 people give their lives to Christ. Medical care was once again a magnet to draw people in, to hear about Jesus.

We spent Monday sorting, packing and ordering our supplies for a 4 day rural health care trip to Mubende. We also got our van (FINALLY) off of the lot. She is a beaut! Thursday, February 14, 2013. Valentine's Day was the usual candy and craziness at our house again this year. This is not my favorite holiday and I think that is why I dread it each year. I tried to have a little fun with the kids cards for their classes. They turned out pretty well, even though it took a lot of time, the boys liked them. I loved Caden's.so fitting for him! Saturday, February 23, 2013. Afer the first snowfall of 6-8 inches and two days of no school, they forecasted another one on Monday. We had to get out of the house for a bit. Saturday was warmer and nicer, so we went to lunch, a movie, and the K'Nex exhibit at our local museum. Caden was in awe of all the sets and also a little inspired. He came home and got out one of Cory's sets and started working. Since the storm came and we were out more days, he had plenty of time to work on it! Caden at the museum.

Thursday, September 27, 2012. Evening at Boiling Springs. One gorgeous fall day, I decided to have an impromtu picnic at Boiling Springs. So I told all 5 kids to get ready to go, packed a fun picnic lunch, and called Cory. He got home in time to help load up everyone and off we went. We ate leftovers and had a great evening enjoying nature. We played on the playground a bit, took a quick hike and went exploring. A GREAT EVENING! Caden climbing on the play structure.
