Joy in Hope through Grace. The life and times of a girl who is coming to accept being simple but beautiful. Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Soit's been a while. Sadly, I don't have anything truly awe-inspiring to fill you in on, but here are a few odds and ends that you might appreciate. Reasons I Like Fall. Lauren. Circa mid-1980s. Yes, I know I used the h-word, but after more than sixty days of over-100-degree heat this summer, it's appropriate. My lovely friend Katrina now has a beautiful little daughter, ...

Joy in Hope through Grace. The life and times of a girl who is coming to accept being simple but beautiful. Friday, September 9, 2011. I’m thankful for…a lot of different things, but today’s post is about people. Anything. It’s all about the quality time, whether that be shopping at an outlet mall or curled up on the couch watching HGTV for hours on end. My precious friend Amy. My dear friend Amanda. My lovely friend Kathleen. My cool brother and my sweet sister-in-law. My lovely friend Bri. I’m th...

Joy in Hope through Grace. The life and times of a girl who is coming to accept being simple but beautiful. Tuesday, May 31, 2011. The Joys of Vacation. And I get to play with my friends’ dogs. And I get to laugh about stupid inside jokes with friends. And we get to remember why we’re friends and how we’re still. I love to fly. Now, to be honest, I don’t actually love. I also like to fly alone. Why? I’m also glad to have a vacation coming up soon for a few other reasons, such as:. I feel a bit like my ho...

Joy in Hope through Grace. The life and times of a girl who is coming to accept being simple but beautiful. Thursday, November 22, 2012. Yes, it's Thanksgiving. No, I haven't posted in quite some time. Yes, I'm still alive. No, I haven't fallen into a dark hole somewhere. Yes, I've become an old lady and now go to bed as early as 9:00 pm some nights. Get over it. And since it's Thanksgiving, let me give you the ubiquitous "what I'm thankful for" run-down really quick. As one of my favorite Christmas song...

Joy in Hope through Grace: The Adult Issue
http://joyinhopethroughgrace.blogspot.com/2013/04/the-adult-issue.html
Joy in Hope through Grace. The life and times of a girl who is coming to accept being simple but beautiful. Wednesday, April 3, 2013. There’s this thing that’s been tumbling around in my brain for a while. This thing called being an adult. Sometimes I resist it. Sometimes I begrudgingly give in when necessity requires it. But recently I’ve realized that being an adult is a choice. And not necessarily a bad one. Being an adult. It’s a scary thing sometimes. But it’s kind of a relief too.

Joy in Hope through Grace. The life and times of a girl who is coming to accept being simple but beautiful. Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Today I have been struck by the beauty of numerous things, and I thought I’d share them really quick. An Oklahoma sunset. Laugh at the cliché if you want, but it’s true that we’ve got a corner on the outrageously beautiful sunset market. Tonight’s was no exception. Revisiting old haunts and remembering only the good things. I forget the stress and aches of college last...

Joy in Hope through Grace. The life and times of a girl who is coming to accept being simple but beautiful. Saturday, November 12, 2011. While I'm not a huge advocate of homecoming (and, I'll admit, I often find myself vocalizing my doubts of homecoming's importance in today's tech-driven society), I did in fact attend a somewhat abbreviated form of homecoming today. During homecoming this year, and I instantly reconsidered my stance on hitting campus during homecoming weekend. Brigadoon. We decided to m...

Joy in Hope through Grace. The life and times of a girl who is coming to accept being simple but beautiful. Wednesday, June 27, 2012. And God puts them back together.better. The last month and a half has been nothing short of insane. Nothing short of heart-wrenching. Nothing short of soul-crushing. And nothing short of miraculous. When things fall apart, God puts them back together. And he puts them back together somehow better than I could have imagined. Life slowly began to smooth to a more normal pace...

Joy in Hope through Grace: Catching Up
http://joyinhopethroughgrace.blogspot.com/2012/07/catching-up.html
Joy in Hope through Grace. The life and times of a girl who is coming to accept being simple but beautiful. Saturday, July 21, 2012. I officially survived my last day at my old job. And I'm so thankful for my wonderful coworkers. It was a fun and busy last day, followed by a fantastic evening of margaritas and amazingly good conversation with three lovely ladies from work. We laughed, we almost cried, we talked about so much. And I already had a friend who worked there. In all honesty, I think I was in s...
