Sunday, May 24, 2009. Ingredients: For cooking Dal(Lentil). 2 tbsp Mung Dal. 1/4 tsp Hing( asafoetida. 2 tsp Grated Ginger. Lime sized ball Tamarind. Drum stick), Cauli. 1/4 cup fresh grated Coconut. And salt as per taste. 2 tbsp Green coriander. 2-3 Dry red chillies. 1/4 cup finely chopped onion. 1 tsp red chili. 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder. With 2 cup water, methi. Seeds, hing, haldi. Green chillies, grated ginger and chopped tomatoes. Cook till dal. Soak tamarind in 1/2 cup water for half an hour.

Thursday, June 18, 2009. 1 kg - Sarson (green mustard). 250 gm - Spinach. 2 nos - Shalgam (turnips) (peeled and chopped (optional). 3 to 4 flakes - Garlic (finely chopped). 2" piece - Ginger (finely chopped). 2 to 3 - Green chillies (finely chopped). 2 tsp - Makki ka atta (maize flour). 1 1/2 tsp - Powdered Gur (jaggery)salt to taste. 3 tsp - Desi Ghee. 1/2 tsp - Red chili powder. 2 nos - Green chillies (finely chopped). 1" piece - Ginger (finely chopped). Add salt and 1/2 a cup of water. A Mad Tea Party.

Water) will taste best if refrigerated for a day. Mix the flour and sooji.

Below you'll find a recipe for Corn Chaat, a delicious snack that Vidya prepared for Shankar, Gopi and I when we visited her and her beautiful daughters. Its a great item to make for a standalone snack, or as an appetizer at a party! 1 bag frozen corn, or 3-4 ears of corn shucked and trimmed. 1 red, yellow or orange pepper. 1 large potato, boiled and diced. 1 onion (yellow or red) diced. 1 handful cilantro chopped. 1 medium green chili chopped finely. 1/8 cup lemon or lime juice.
