Friday, March 18, 2011. Guinness Cupcakes and Bailey's Frosting. Oh St Patrick's Day, the only day of the year where we are all Irish and encouraged to drink. I found a recipe for this cupcakes over a year ago, and I've wanted to make them for awhile, and I decided that I was going to make them for the holiday. From We Are Not Martha. 1 1/2 cups Guinness (or stout beer). 1 stick of butter, plus 1 Tbsp. 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 2 cups dark brown sugar. 3/4 cup sour cream. 1) Preheat oven to 350 F.

Sunday, April 24, 2011. So yeah, I have been neglectful of the blog. So where to begin? And now, within the last two weeks I have had three (yes, THREE) family members pass away. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. So it was finally time to bake some cookies and I wanted something summery and fruit influenced. My Mom caught this recipe on Everyday Italian with Giada de Laurentis. And this is a fantastic cookie recipe. It's been a couple of years since I've made them, which was at Christmas time. I like to include something with fruit in my gift boxes. Anyway, it's wonderfully tart and cake-like and it's PERFECT for the summer. From Everyday Italian with Giada de Laurentis. 2 1/2 cups of flour.
