That same day, the knee-deep river we had crossed swelled to an almost waist deep river. Good thing I practiced for this exact moment two summers ago while in Yosemite. We accomplished a safe and dare I say fun river crossing! Despite having seen spiders, scorpions and snakes (oh my! Many times, I still never fail to be mesmerized by how big they can be. Tarantulas showed up to clinic too.
