The Dumas Police Department is currently working to build a professional police department by providing the best possible community protection. If you are going to be away from your residence, have recently been a victim of a crime, or believe the police department needs to watch a residence or business because crime activity is occuring there contact the Police Department Dispatch a (806)-936-2151 and request a close patrol on the property. Officers will check the address submitted. Except for vacations or cime victims most close patrols will only be conducted for up to 1 month.

Cruelty to Animal Statutes. The Animal Control Department Officers are trained and licensed by the Texas Department of Health, Zoonosis Control. Animal Control Officers typically work 8 hour days however Officers maintain a 24 hour on call schedule.
