Recreation at the Dumoine River, Rod and Gun Club in Quebec

The DuMoine River is a very popular river for canoe enthusiasts. Extensive waterways in a pristine wilderness environment means that trips of 2-7 days are easily put together. Riding is unlimited as there are hundreds of miles of roads and trails. ATV's must be licensed and insured. The same opportunities exist as for ATV's. However there are no management or services between October 15th and ice out. Build unforgettable memories with your families in this wilderness retreat. Fun for the whole family!

A Quebec hunting licence is required. There is an archery and a rifle season for moose. Each fall moose are taken in the vicinity of the club. At this time our area is limited to spring bear season only. The grouse and woodcock hunting are especially excellent. Dick and his grouse. Moose may be taken during bow and rifle season. Bear season is for spring hunting season only temporarily. It takes two hunters for one moose tag. We are not lottery operated. DuMoine River, Rod and Gun Club.

Fishing at the Dumoine River, Rod and Gun Club in Quebec

The fish range in size from 1-3lbs with numerous fish taken at 5-6lbs. Remote trout ponds are accessed by ATV or hiking. Canoes are provided. A Quebec fishing licence is required. 3 of the lakes with remote camps have good lake trout fishing. The opportunities are limitless! Bass fishing in the river near the lodge is very good. Can be found in the river and numerous other lakes. Brook trout of this size are common in the area. Fly fishing for trout is a common pastime. Friends and members going fishing.
