Wednesday, November 18, 2009. Field trip - Drivers Still Needed! Thank you for getting the permission slips and donations in for the Academy of Sciences field trip. We are still in need of drivers- so please get your paperwork in as soon as possible! Outlines and Bibliographies are due tomorrow; all drafts of these papers need to be turned in as well. We have begun studying Egypt; we will also have our first Oprah Dunlavy presentations featuring pharoahs tomorrow and Friday.

Thursday, April 1, 2010. I am so pleased with the hard work and commitment of our class as we have prepared the Open House Greek Mythology Wax Museum these last 3 weeks. Tonight, for Open House, students should be in Room 306 by 6:15 pm for warm-ups; Come at 6:00 pm if costume assistance is needed. We are performing outside the classroom from 6:30 to 7:05 pm. If it rains, we will be under the lunch area awning, at the far end.). Thank you to Beth Maxon for her on-site help with pinning costumes!

Friday, January 22, 2010. So much has happened since I last wrote on this blog. The New Year brought many changes in our classroom community. Both Carson and Robert left our class after the first week of the new semester. We said farewell by writing good wishes, addresses and little notes in keepsake books. Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Continue to Check 1st Quarter Snapgrades. Dear Parents and Students,. When you check your student's Snapgrades, continue to check 1st Quarter grades by clicking on the bar at the top of the screen; this way you will continue to see the cumulative grades. Today we began our historical research projects. We focused on creating a bibliography card and notecards in the library- using encyclopedias as a first source. Tomorrow, we will begin checking out library books.
