A Fantastic Legacy: Day One - News from Nowhere
http://shewhomust.livejournal.com/447339.html
A Fantastic Legacy: Day One - News from Nowhere. A Fantastic Legacy: Day One. Oct 1st, 2014 09:51 pm. The holiday catch-up posts begin just before we went away, with the Diana Wynne Jones conference. I had attended immediately before leaving England (and when I say 'immediately', I mean that we had deliberately scheduled our departure for the day after the conference). Two days, two locations, and enough interesting material that I could happily have spent the entire afternoon in Cambridge. I was able to...

A Fantastic Legacy: Day Two - News from Nowhere

A Fantastic Legacy: Day Two - News from Nowhere. A Fantastic Legacy: Day Two. Oct 9th, 2014 08:56 pm. For the second day of the Diana Wynne Jones conference. The morning was divided into parallel sessions: you chose between two themes, and heard a series of (usually three) short papers, followed by questions and discussions. I asked no-one in particular at the end of the introductory session, did she really say that the printed version is more up to date than the website? Started my day on a high note: i...

Need help with my profanity. Kind of. - Mrs. Brenchley's journal

Need help with my profanity. Kind of. Apr 8th, 2015 at 8:49 AM. I'm working on a project to predict the next word in a sentence, and I need to put in a profanity filter to make sure the word I predict isn't one of *those* words. I've put my list so far below the cut, and I'd appreciate it if any of you could add to my list. Thanks. 40 comments Leave a comment. Apr 8th, 2015 04:06 pm (UTC). Ah screw it. Here's a fairly extensive list:. Http:/ www.noswearing.com/dictionar. Probably more than you need.

Sep 17th, 2015 10:33 am. A year ago, I wrote up the last post of my previous trip to the US on the way to Edinburgh to fly the Atlantic again. A year on, I'm doing much the same: on the ferry (on the ferry and online, living in the future) sailing out of Poole towards Cherbourg, writing one final post about the last time we spent any time in France, returning home from Italy. Surely the Loire is the longest river in France? The board explained, and I learned, what I had not previously known, the dirreren...

In the Pyrenees - News from Nowhere

In the Pyrenees - News from Nowhere. Nov 9th, 2011 10:12 pm. Santa Cruz is in the foothills, on the edge of one massif and looking across a broad valley at the Pyrenees themselves. On our second day there we drove into the mountains: taking a circuitous route past the monastery of San Juan de la Peña. And skirting Mount Oroel. With its distinctive profile. The roads are narrow and twisty, .and all the mountains wear hairnets, said. More pictures: of Canfranc. The Foz de Binies. 2011-11-09 10:39 pm (UTC).

Aug 5th, 2016 06:18 pm. Durham cathedral has reached the end of its three-year fundraising campaign, in which contributions were marked by the addition of a brick to a Lego model of the cathedral. The model represents a service in progress, and the service chosen is the blessing of the banners at the Miners' Gala: so there are tiny Lego figures carrying (not Lego) banners, and a tiny Lego brass band. All the fun of the show - News from Nowhere
http://shewhomust.livejournal.com/492920.html
All the fun of the show - News from Nowhere. All the fun of the show. Aug 11th, 2015 10:18 pm. On Saturday, we went to Sedgefield Show. It's a proper agricultural show, and I've never been to one before, and wasn't sure how interesting it would be, but it was a bright sunny day, perfect for an excursion of some sort. In fact we had a great day out - not one to be repeated every year, part of the charm was the novelty, but there was plenty to see. Which was nicer than I'd expected, with a good, fresh rhub...
