In our collaborative work with youth, we strive to build a learning environment where participants can express their creativity freely within a structure that also supports professional standards for the artwork, and with beautification as a primary goal. Working with a central theme for each mural, the students contribute creative decisions in every step of the design and painting process, and are treated as collaborators as well as student apprentices.
