Sunday, March 23, 2014. The sun hit the Birch bark at just the perfect angle. Semi-transparent and it just seems to glow. Life seems to be leading me back to Ottawa. I managed to get into the basement of Canada's oldest dive shop and took a couple of photos. It is the most amazing place I have ever seen in my life. Jacques Cousteau would be proud. Saturday, March 29, 2014. I am now the proud owner of a Divair double hose regulator and a PST steel 72 with a small valve tank. Cost me $25. It is worth $0.00 but so cool if you are into vintage diving. I have to admit I find this old dive gear amazing. To think people were diving this equipment to some extreme depths and made it back alive is incredible. These people were the poineers of the sport of diving. Saturday, March 29, 2014. Out of the Ice. The snow and ice are finally starting to melt with one of the first thaws of the year. I was sitting outside on the back steps with the camera and noticed this Japanese maple leaf struggling to free itself from the ice. The thing I like most about this photo is that even the portion of the leaf still encased in ice is in focus. I have to say I love my Zeiss lenses.
