Natty Maid: June 2012
http://nattymaid.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 26 June 2012. A Word of Warning! I had to check my post dates to see the last time I had anything on here and see that it was at the end of March. This was before I attended my first ever Shows, the first being the British Craft Trade Fair. In Harrogate in April and the second being the Great British Home Show. In Bluewater, Kent. Quite a lot to take on as both shows were close together and with one being trade and the latter consumer, I had my work cut out for me. The Natty Maid Stand. Right, t...

Monday, 22 April 2013. My Tunnel Book Project Begins. The Forth Valley Open Studios. Is just a month and a half away and I will be participating in this event for the first time. I am excited but a little anxious as I am not sure I have given myself enough time to get what I want done. Best get a wiggle on then! Has been put on the back burner. A couple of years ago, I treated myself to an artist book workshop at the Owl and Lion. Particularly when I have time constraints. I had been raking through a who...

http://nattymaid.blogspot.com/2013/07/heres-how-i-make-tunnel-book.html
Tuesday, 2 July 2013. Here's How I Make a Tunnel Book. So much for posting as I work through my project! I'm afraid I was pushing myself trying to get 8 hand printed tunnel books made in 6 weeks so I basically horsed on with it to the detriment of sparing enough time to update my blog. My apologies! So I am updating retrospectively. There are different methods out there and some absolute crackers! Check out this link. Here is how I made mine. The picture below shows the basic materials required. Turn the...

http://nattymaid.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 28 March 2012. Forgive me Blogger it has been 3 months since my last post! And here was I thinking I would be posting on a weekly basis in the lead up to the British Craft Trade Fair. In Harrogate in April! In addition to tote bags, I have been printing hankies. After screenprinting my own wrapping paper later last year, I wanted to look at other things that could be used for gift wrap, but more for the fact that it could be kept for another purpose. I had heard about Furoshiki. The word 'Hans...

Natty Maid: October 2011
http://nattymaid.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Friday, 14 October 2011. I have finally walked away from my paintings. I am not pleased with them and would have kept going over and over getting nowhere. But there comes a time when you know you are overworking things and need to stop. This has been such a learning curve for me in that respect. Having talked to the ever amazing Greer Ralston (check out her equestrian paintings! Http:/ www.ralstonfineart.com/. Friday, October 14, 2011. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
