Thursday, March 13, 2008. The Great American Novel. And I'm just thinking about each of you. But here's my thought for the day. There was a time in my own life when I dreamed of writing the "great American novel." How many have dreamed of that! And I spent hours upon hours, usually the "wee hours" of the morning, pursuing that dream. I wrote lots of words! Sent out lots of manuscripts to agents and publishers. Got lots of rejections! And then one day, it hit me. I had already written that novel!

Saturday, January 24, 2009. Somewhere between Rock Springs and Flaming Gorge. We had a picnic and threw lots of rocks in the lake. Only an hour drive from Rock Springs. Marc's Everton Tigers won the British Basketball League Championship Trophy. Marc had a big game, netting a game high 26 points! A couple of former pokes . Sunday, February 1, 2009. The rumor is true. I am going on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have been called to serve in Montevideo, Uruguay! I will leave March 18th, spend two months in the Buenos Aires, Argentina missionary training center, then go on to conquer Uruguay! And when I say conquer, I mean bring lost souls unto Christ. Can you call that conquering? I can't wait to meet the wonderful people in Uruguay! I have to start brushin' up on that high school spanish!

Friday, October 17, 2008. I love Logan, but my Wyoming roots run deep. It is hard to come back after each summer; new memories fresh in my mind. It's hard to leave Cheyenne friends, work, and everything else familiar behind. It is not, however, hard to leave the wind behind! Never is a visit home a disappointment. I make more trips home during the school year than I should, considering it's a 7 hour trip each way. That's a small price to pay for me though. What can I say? I'm a Wyoming girl at heart!
