Monday, May 20, 2013. FUN WEEKEND AT THE BEACH. Sting rays we spotted in just a few inches of water right in the edge of the surf. Night fisherman posing for me. At the Sweet Home Cheese Farm I fell in love with this cute chicken coop. So German looking to me. This old delivery truck on the Cheese Farm was just as cute as the chicken coop. Another hungry bird waiting for a dropped picnic potato chip or fishing minnow on the Wolf Bay boardwalk. I think he loved having his picture taken. We were watching t...

Nonnie's Journal: October 2012
http://nonniesjournal.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Today I am trying to settle back into the saddle of everyday life, well almost. Finally Johnny has gone back to work and I am doing my everyday chores of washing clothes, picking up, sweeping. and all that fun stuff. Have you ever seen something that just WOWED you? As we ended the hike up a very steep incline trail to the viewing point and I looked over the edge - WOW was about all I could come out with - over and over and over again! Labels: Bryce Canyon Utah. Baby changing pad | the McKenzie's
https://4mckenzies.wordpress.com/2013/06/09/baby-changing-pad
It’s been a while since I’ve posted a craft so heres the latest…a baby changing pad that rolls into a clutch. Oh and it has a pocket for diapers and wipes! Wish I had had one of these a few years ago, but now its for my friend. (THANK GOODNESS! I found the tutorial here: All-In-One Changing Mat. Note: for some reason this link won’t link directly to the changing mat but some baby ugg boots, scroll down the list just to the left of the boots and you’ll see the Changing Mat). Here’s mine…. Nonnie's Journal: SUMMER PHOTOGRAPHY
http://nonniesjournal.blogspot.com/2013/07/summer-photography.html
Saturday, July 20, 2013. This summer has turned into a summer like no other for me. The best laid plans. Speaking of photography, while I am out at night walking Lulu, who is nearly as large as I am, I often notice some unusual photo opportunities. This weeping mushroom appeared almost fluorescent white and was oozing amber and clear droplets from the snow white underside and deep red drops were running down the top. Very unusual! Happy summer, ya'll. Labels: Pink Cactus Bloom. View my complete profile.

Nonnie's Journal: GOODBYE RAINY MAY; HELLO JUNE
http://nonniesjournal.blogspot.com/2013/06/goodbye-rainy-may-hello-june.html
Saturday, June 1, 2013. GOODBYE RAINY MAY; HELLO JUNE. Seems like just a couple days ago we were stoking the fire in the wood stove to fend off a very chilly night. June 1 and it is 90 degrees and HUMID! It just looked so pretty and I just knew it would be yummy wilted in a cheese sauce over pasta. NO, NO, NO! My Asiatic lilies are just blooming like crazy. Lulu's brother, Max, has been spending the weekend with us while Ginger and family are in Starkville watching the MSU Bulldogs play in the NCAA Baseb...

Nonnie's Journal: GIFTS OF A WET SPRING
http://nonniesjournal.blogspot.com/2013/06/gifts-of-wet-spring.html
Sunday, June 23, 2013. GIFTS OF A WET SPRING. The best part about a summer shower every few days is the beauty that it brings forth from the ground. The lowly yucca plant is displaying massive spires of wedding bell shaped flowers that are rarely seen in such abundance on dry, scorching hot summer days. My agapanthus have not bloomed like this and lasted so long in many years. The blackberries are plump and lush. This strange mush is as black as can be and looks like a chunk of lava. First of all, I love...

Thursday, September 27, 2012. LATEST PROJECT - RAG QUILT FOR MASON. Packing it up in just a few minutes. Now to get out there and see that handsome young man. Must go pack as we go see our oldest daughter (Mason's grandmother) and family in Iowa on the first leg of the trip. Til later -. One parting thought -. Let me recommend the best medicine in the world: a long journey, at a mild season, through a pleasant country, in easy stages. Sunday, September 23, 2012. IT'S BEEN A LONG DRY SPELL! What could have been… | the McKenzie's
https://4mckenzies.wordpress.com/2013/05/18/what-could-have-been
What could have been…. Here’s what could have been a cool part of our new swing and arbor…. Notice Max creeping in from the right… sniffing out his new chew toys…. They were SO pretty! In hind site… we knew better. It’s not even worth a photo now. The after result…. Max chewed those plants up to the nubs. And then Lulu came over and helped Max dig one of them up. Yep, they were nice for about a day (and that’s only b/c we were home). We still love Max! By Baker & Sidney. May 18, 2013. Film in the Fridge.
