S & A Blackburn: Summer Opportunity
http://sandablackburn.blogspot.com/2012/05/summer-opportunity.html
S and A Blackburn. The wonderful happenings of the Blackburns. Thursday, May 17, 2012. WARNING: SUPER LONG POST :). The interview went well, but we were going to have to wait a while to see if he was offered the position. We continued to pray about it because it would mean a 2 month temporary move for both of us. I would have to quit my job, find someone to sublease our apartment at DTS and then see if we could afford to live in Colorado Springs for the summer. We said our fair wells this last Thursday a...

A collection of local, travel, poetry, political, and artful expressions. Small is the new big: Earth Day reflections on downsizing our stuff April 23, 2009. 8212; leahrobin @ 7:00 am. Small is a big deal these days. Smart cars for two people. Mac inotebook laptops as thin as a ream of paper. Poodle dogs that fit in the scoop of your palm. The smaller, the skinnier, the sleeker – the better. In Spokane; they recycle and reuse unwanted technology. May 1, 2009 at 8:10 am. July 16, 2009 at 10:23 am. Leave a...

S & A Blackburn: August 2011
http://sandablackburn.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
S and A Blackburn. The wonderful happenings of the Blackburns. Saturday, August 20, 2011. The next day was the rehearsal dinner, so there were lots of flower arrangements to put together and last minute things to get ready. Here is Sean helping put together some centerpieces. My Aunt Judy has done all the flowers for all of her nieces and nephews' weddings. We got to stay at a hotel the night before the wedding and get a little girl time together. This made getting ready the next day pretty easy. We head...

S & A Blackburn: January 2012
http://sandablackburn.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
S and A Blackburn. The wonderful happenings of the Blackburns. Saturday, January 21, 2012. Sean on the Farm. I found some more Christmas time pictures from this last December! To prove that he has done it, this is a picture of Sean and my dad feeding the cows in the pasture on Sunday morning. Nice and cold. Oh yeah and we broke down. Sandi, Sean's mom, was so good to get us all to have some family pictures together. This is one of the better shots of Sean and I from that day. Links to this post.

S and A Blackburn. The wonderful happenings of the Blackburns. Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Memorial Day Camping Trip. On Memorial Day weekend we went camping/hiking with the Rogstad's who live in Broomfield, CO (just north of Denver). We are fortunate to be so close to great friends who also have great knowledge of the ways of the wild. Catching some rays before our hike. The fallen logs made it easy to get across the stream. After about a 3 mile hike, we made it to the top of the trail. Great views! Yes, fri...

S & A Blackburn: March 2010
http://sandablackburn.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
S and A Blackburn. The wonderful happenings of the Blackburns. Saturday, March 27, 2010. Sean and I saying goodbye for the next 26 days. He had just had shoulder surgery to fix a torn labrum. I can't remember the total travel time there, but I think it was something around 48 hours. Lots of lay overs and long flights. 100$ = 56,000 Rwandan Francs. Our awesome hotel. I was just expecting to sleep in a cabin. We were treated really well. On our way back to our hotel, we saw this truck full of prisoners....

S and A Blackburn. The wonderful happenings of the Blackburns. Saturday, January 8, 2011. It was pretty fun getting to fly back to Washington for Christmas. It was our first time, for both us, to be that far away from all of our family. We no longer had the luxury of just driving to the other side of town to see the family. We got to split up our time with both of our families and had some great food and time celebrating! These are the sweet little jeggings that we couldn't wait to see her wear!

S & A Blackburn: September 2011
http://sandablackburn.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
S and A Blackburn. The wonderful happenings of the Blackburns. Friday, September 30, 2011. There wasn't too much else to report about during the Summer of 2011, except for the record breaking heat in Dallas and most of the south. We had 60 days in a row of 100 degree heat and then we had a total of 100 days over a 100 degrees. Basically, it was hot as Hades! We couldn't even find reprieve in the pool at our apartment. It was just too hot! The water was even warm. Not one bit refreshing. Links to this post.
