Sunday, September 11, 2011. I was reading one of my favorite blogs. Today and she recalls that fateful day 10 years ago, watching the news on TV, holding her 5-month-old, thinking of her newborn's future. What kind of world will you grow up in? Ten years later, she answers this question. ( Please read her whole post it's beautiful. But you will also see how the strength of the human spirit will always push back and prevail against darkness. In this world. Be part of it. So to my children, I would say.

Sunday, September 30, 2012. Which Way Does a Tree Fall? For family home evening. Tonight, we used the Lorax and Truffala trees to teach an important lesson. We watched the clip from the movie The Lorax. Where the Once-ler's family joins him to start making Thneeds. The Lorax cautions Once-ler that he is making the wrong choice. He asks, "Which way does a tree fall? The answer, "It falls the way it leans. Be careful which way you lean." We related this to the prophet George Albert Smith's counsel. 8217; I...

Tuesday, November 29, 2011. For anyone who hasn't already heard. Yup, that's right. We are expecting baby #4! It was definitely a surprise and not planned, but we are excited for the addition and change in plans. The official due date is July 1, 2012 but knowing my track record of big babies, the doctor will probably want to induce early again. We'll see. I'm just glad I don't have to be nine months pregnant in August (like we originally thought). Pregnancy, the dog days of summer, and I do not mix well.

Friday, July 22, 2011. Summer Fun Day 5. My boys are obsessed with Legos. Seriously. They love building with their Legos, playing Lego games on the computer, watching Lego movies, drawing Lego pictures, coloring Lego printables, and anything else that uses Legos or is related to Legos. No joke. So I only thought it fair that we have a Lego day. We started out building and playing with Legos all morning. Then, I printed some coloring pages from online. To do this go to Lego.com. And then “ products. And d...

Seth is Kevin, the exotic bird. Josh is Russell, the Wilderness Explorer boy, and Aubrey is Doug, the talking dog. This picture was taken at Halloween party at our church on Saturday.
