He started saying it a couple of days before Mother's Day.so it was a great Mother's Day gift from him! I couldn't have asked for anything more! We were very lucky. We did not lose any shingles! Monday, June 1, 2009. Mom and dad were out of town, so we crashed at their place for the weekend. Too bad it was not quite warm enough to go swimming! Thanks for letting us stay anyway! Sorry we didn't take the canoe down! On our way to Arkansas, Derek cranked up the Metallica and Dylan was rockin' to it! Derek taught him how to be a rockstar. He will tell him to make his rockstar face and Dylan squints his eyes, shows his teeth, and headbangs. It is kinda cute! This one had singing fish and lobster.

Monday, June 22, 2009. It was kinda funny, but then it just started getting really old. Then Dylan, being the bully that he is, kept stealing Andrew's blanket and hiding it under his legs. Again, pretty funny, but not so much to Andrew! Anyway, all of that made for a pretty long trip. Amanda brought a ball for the boys to play with at the rest areas to burn off some energy. Wednesday, September 17, 2008. We planted our garden a little late this year and are just now really getting to enjoy it. We have sweet and spicy! Monday, April 20, 2009. Saturday was the big race.50K.31 miles. I didn't get to see Derek start. I dropped him off then drove to find our first meeting point. I was a little worried about getting lost. I found it no problem though and had an hour to kill before Derek would meet up with me, so as Derek was running, I was in the car trying to take a nap =). Thursday, March 24, 2011. My sweet sweet Andrew turned 5 this month! We had a great party at Fun City and it was nice not to have to plan games and decorations! I could get use to that! It was a pirate themed party. He and I made thank you cards using pictures and this was not used but was my favorite! Steven's mom and her husband were in town for the party and she was the mystery reader for William's class. He was so surprised! She is such a great story teller! Saturday, September 3, 2011. Lego mama saves the day! Here is my solution:. First we found body parts that were basically the right colors. I was soon told by William that CA does not have pockets on the front of his shirt. my solution, I took some sand paper and scratched the image off. I was next told that he needs a red belt and boots. I first thought spray paint, because you know I love that stuff! Anyway I decided on fingernail polish. It worked great! Next was Andrew, my Batman boy! It's a win win!

Monday, January 23, 2012. Final hats of 2011 and stuff. I'm only 23 days late. I did finish my 100 hat goal for 2010, in fact, I passed it! Meet #100. She is a star crossed slouchy beret and a last minute gift for William's teacher. Super warm and soft wool. So this hat ended up being number 101, and the HARDEST hat I've knit! It took me the longest to complete but I think it is so beautiful! There is a vine leaf pattern along the front and bottom with leaves hanging from the back and the two tassels.

Saturday, June 18, 2011. Can I just start by saying how lucky I am! I am so lucky to be in 2 large extended families that are so much fun to be with! We had a wonderful time in Iowa. We got to spend time with my mom's side and my dad's side of the family, I loved it! For each day of our trip each boy had an outfit, including socks and underwear, in a labeled ziplock bag. Thursday, January 20, 2011. Wednesday, January 5, 2011. Christmas break has come and gone. We stayed really busy and sick. Poor William broke out with fever blisters all over his chin and under his nose. All he wanted for Christmas was for them to be gone! Thankfully I took him to the doctor and she said they had turned into a STAPH infection and she hooked us up with some great antibiotics. His face has cleared up in time for school to start!
