Btown Miles: The Bangladesh Experience
http://btownmiles.blogspot.com/2011/02/bangladesh-experience.html
Sunday, February 20, 2011. There are some things in life that no matter what, can not be fully appreciated unless you experience it yourself. There is no way I could say I have any level of appreciation for what it is like to go through childbirth. I imagine it is something that must be experienced. No one can say they understand and appreciate war unless they have been on a battlefield. Myself included. Ok so a trip to Dhaka is not equal to going to war or childbirth, but let me tell you it isn't far off.

Btown Miles: New England - a cold slap in the face!
http://btownmiles.blogspot.com/2011/02/new-england-cold-slap-in-face.html
Friday, February 11, 2011. New England - a cold slap in the face! Across New England, where relatively balmy temperatures prevailed during the winter of 2009–2010, the upcoming winter will be the equivalent of a cold slap in the face, as we forecast much colder-than-normal temperatures." This is from the 2011 Farmers Almanac website. It was from August 2010. I think they got it pretty close. It won't be long before polar bears move to new england). This week I head to Bangladesh for the first time. I...

Btown Miles: February 2012
http://btownmiles.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 5, 2012. Right outside your door. I have more time on my hands lately and it has been nice. To sit and think, to enjoy small things, to get back in balance. So Btown doesn't offer much in the way of cultural diversity, wild nightlife, culinary treats, or sunny beaches, but one thing it does have is wilderness. The crazy thing is, not many people take advantage of it. From my stroll around the Quabbin, I now consider this a favorite place. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). THE SCOOP ON POOP.

Btown Miles: November 2010
http://btownmiles.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 29, 2010. Do you have what it takes? No literally. do you actually have all the stuff necessary to ride your bike in New England in late November? Getting ready for a bike ride in 30 - 40 degree weather requires some preparation and lots of "stuff". So here are the things that I use to get me through a 2 hour ride and not freeze my butt off. Next we have the clothing for the lower half of the body. Bike shorts, windproof leg warmers, cycling shoes, wool socks, and neoprene shoe covers.

Btown Miles: 20/20 Memory - Your Mind's Eye
http://btownmiles.blogspot.com/2011/01/2020-memory-your-minds-eye.html
Saturday, January 29, 2011. 20/20 Memory - Your Mind's Eye. Do you have memories from times in your life where you can remember everything from that moment in time? Maybe it was a significant moment in your life, or maybe just an experience that you treasure. I have so many of these moments and I can play them in my mind anytime I want. It is almost like I can go back in time and live it over again. Give it a try, close your eyes and go back to one of YOUR moments. See it, smell it, feel it. Going brook ...

Btown Miles: October 2010
http://btownmiles.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 31, 2010. Back in the Saddle. Today started at 6 AM which I think is great considering I'm still suffering from a moderate case of jet lag. I usually get up around 5 so that means I actally slept in. I made a steak and cheese omlette and two cups of coffee for breakfast. I let the dogs out and stood outside for about 5 minutes breathing the morning air. I wonder, do you think you could tell the season just from the smell of the air? Thursday, October 28, 2010. Going Headless is ALWAYS coo...

Btown Miles: Philadelphia Steak and Cheese Challenge - Geno's vs Pat's
http://btownmiles.blogspot.com/2011/01/philadelphia-steak-and-cheese-challenge.html
Sunday, January 30, 2011. Philadelphia Steak and Cheese Challenge - Geno's vs Pat's. Today I find myself in Philadelphia for just long enough to conduct a very important comparison. Geno's vs Pats. So this all starts with your standard 48 minutes of flight time from Hartford to Philadelphia on US Airways. My final destination is Greensboro, NC for the rest of the week for meetings. Yes, on the other side of security. No Thanks, I can take the cold. So I say, "boy that is hard to miss" "where is Pat's"?
