The Place We Call Home. Thursday, April 30, 2015. Knowing what our summer looked like - Emily and I decided to take a quick. Two night trip to Salt Lake before things got too crazy. We packed up our cameras and grabbed. Our stretchiest pants for plenty of good food sampling. And we were off! We had never been before and were very curious as to what it was all about. We arrived Sunday evening and had about 2 1/2 hours before sundown. We headed to the spot we might best view the sunset and found it was also.

Deer Hollow: January 2014
http://thedeerhollow.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
The Place We Call Home. Monday, January 20, 2014. Emily had the perfect photo and words for our family today. She posted this on her instagram feed:. Surviving three months with my world tilted seems like a pretty big accomplishment.". We are amazed that time keeps marching on and we tag along with it. We find more good days in our weeks than hard ones. We are forever changed and are learning how to live in this new place. Our world has been rather tilted and finding our bearings again is a process.

It was fun to take a minute to breathe and soak in the beautiful sunshine. We have such an amazing neighborhood. So many wonderful people who do so much good. It has been the perfect place to raise our children. This year we had 10 graduating! It's a neighborhood tradition to have a sign on the bridge for important events.

Deer Hollow: February 2015
http://thedeerhollow.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
The Place We Call Home. Wednesday, February 25, 2015. In early December we helped Mark's parents move up to Pioneer Valley Lodge. It has been so nice having them closer and we feel the timing couldn't have been better. Sadly, Mark's mom fell and broke her hip on January 30th. We have been spending a lot of time with them. Mark's brother came up for several weeks - that was a life savor! We could just stop everything to watch these two do their thing. So entertaining! Aren't they the best Valentine treat ...

Deer Hollow: January 2015
http://thedeerhollow.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
The Place We Call Home. Saturday, January 31, 2015. A Very Unusual January. We have had a very unusual winter. January has been unseasonably, record breaking, warm! On January 2nd things didn't look so very different. But as the days went by it began to look and feel very much like Spring! I don't ever remember seeing so much green and feeling so much warmth from the sun. It was a very enjoyable January! We had a few designer storms which brought. Snow to the mountains - but nothing down in the valley.
