Friday, August 8, 2014. LA Trip Day 5. We met Brian's cousin Robert for - what else? Breakfast burritos in nearby Playa del Rey and had a great visit with him. Brian only has 3 cousins on his mom's side, and Robert is his only male cousin on that side. It was fun to see him and catch up; he a young teen when Brian and I got married. Monday, September 24, 2012. Daddy Daughter Dinner and Dance. Our ward recently had a daddy/daughter dinner and dance for all girls age 0 through 18 and their dads (or uncles, brothers, etc). Isabel was so very excited to be able to go! She lovingly packed her purse with essential date items (lip gloss, lotion, and such) and got as pretty as she could-. She loved the dinner and the Sugar and Spice theme with all the sweet treats-. And then she danced the night away. She loved the dancing! Jen in a Nutshell.

Sunday, November 18, 2012. Halloween was warm and beautiful this year, the costumes turned out well, the pumpkins were filled with candy, so I call it a success. A few Halloween-y treats. The vampire pancakes from a few years ago were a MUCH bigger hit this time around (Connor was freaked out by them last time). We have named them vampcakes. And also some Frankenstein krispie treats-. Monday, December 9, 2013. Mason was stung not once, not twice, but THREE times by bees/yellowjackets. Poor guy! The weather started to turn cool and out came the hats! I attended my first Time Out for Women, which was so much fun! I went with a great group of friends, and we spent the night downtown Denver between the sessions. We did a favorite things exchange, had dinner at Corner Bakery, laughed and stayed up way too late, and were uplifted by amazing speakers and musicians. Aunt Meg/Washington, DC.

Thursday, August 7, 2014. LA Trip Day 2. We packed in a lot on day 2! Our first stop was the Getty Center, which had stunning gardens/grounds and wonderful art in a really amazing building. The whole thing was so impressive and we loved being there! Pretty cool views of downtown LA too. This place came highly recommended and it did not disappoint! Sunday, August 26, 2012. Back to School 2012. Our back to school traditions were a bit interrupted this year, what with Mason's unexpected hospital stay, and he and I arriving home the evening before school started. Fortunately, my three (THREE! Mason was in the hospital for the back-to-school open house, wherein the kids bring in their supplies and meet their new teachers. Isabel LOVES having a desk this year, can you tell? Friday, August 8, 2014. LA Trip Day 4. Brian had to work part of the day (after all, it was a business trip), so I was perfectly happy to spend the morning at the pool, reading, swimming and relaxing. Being a fan of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, Brian likes to find one of the featured restaurants on his travels; so we headed to nearby Culver City for dinner, at Gloria's Salvadorean and Mexican Restaurant, where we were served by Gloria herself! After dinner we walked around the Sony Pictures Studios-.

Sunday, November 3, 2013. Isabel was able to be baptized by her dad on Oct. 12, the day after her 8th birthday. Brian's parents, his sister Kelley and her husband Leo and their kids Cameron, Parker and Cesaleigh, as well as my brothers Nate and JJ, and Nate's wife Alli and son Aidan joined us for the special day, as well as a number of our friends.
