Dyslexic Research: December 2009
http://dyslexicresearch.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Haven't posted in awhile. As for me, I am still unemployed. Manufacturing in KC is down, and engineering jobs are then. I don't plan on moving and I don't see a turnaround here coming soon. Thus, I am working towards opening my own bike store, hopefully can put something together by February. In other words, when times are tough, I am going to invest in myself. Good luck out there, more to come when I feel like it. Happy holidays. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Subscribe To D.R. Dyslexic...

Putting your money where your mouth is: Made in the USA. To all those that may be visiting from The Corner Office Blog, thanks for stopping by, I hope that I don’t disappoint). Yes buy American. You remember that place, purple mountain majesties, golden plains, NASCAR, NFL, and the like. It’s still there and those people still need those jobs, and what better way to help than to help your fellow countrymen (or countrywoman for that matter) than to purchase their stuff. Lawn equipment: John Deere. Sunflow...

What is a return. Or what is there to return to? The bug is back in me slightly, so I will write some. Most importantly, the girl I love (and have been with for nine and a half years) and I got married. Just great, great, great. So I have been away, but busy. I think I will start to write again. Don't really know if I care or if anyone cares. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Subscribe To D.R. Sunflower Heaven, Kansas City, United States. View my complete profile. http://dunkinontheroad.blogspot.com/2009/08/day-3-going-fast-and-slowing-down.html
Dunkin On The Road. The travels of some dude named Matt. Monday, August 3, 2009. Day 3: Going Fast and Slowing Down. Day 3 started early, but for my tastes not early enough. I rolled out of Sketchsville. USA at 6:40AM with only a 2 hour drive to Glacier. Problem was though that Many Glacier Campground has been filling up by 10AM or earlier the last two days. Yet again, I was hauling ass to somewhere. Could go (doesn't Bug Deathstar. FWD can go 104mph tops, downhill. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid me. Lunchtime w...

Dunkin On The Road. The travels of some dude named Matt. Friday, July 31, 2009. Day 1: Late, late, late, and South Dakota is a breeze. Miles traveled today: 497.5 miles. Start location: Mission, KS. End location: Chamberlain, SD. Surprise realization on the road: Lots of bikers, and even more poser bikers in RV's, wonder why? Well a stop at a rest stop in Iowa answered my question quickly enough: Sturgis Bike Week starts tomorrow. I guess so much for the open road. Could have gotten my bike bless...South...

Dunkin On The Road. The travels of some dude named Matt. Friday, August 14, 2009. Day 4: Iceberg Lake and Going to the Sun Road. Going up I never came across any other hikers except one guy carrying a mess of camera equipment including a huge tripod walking back down. He gave me that look of shame like amateur don't you know that hikes start at 5:30AM? I sheepishly walked passed keeping my mouth shut so I don't blurt out the typical tourist hiker's question, "How far until the? I left, hit the showers (q...

Dunkin On The Road. The travels of some dude named Matt. Thursday, August 6, 2009. Running out of the time at the hotel. So my write-ups didn't come as quickly as I liked so I am going to do a few photo dumps of the days so far and then will go back and edit everything. Sorry everything isn't nice and neat but I am going to run out of time. Will make a flickr feed as well later, since there are way more pictures. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
