Enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, the wonderful walks around Loe Pool, Penrose Estate and the Coastal Footpath by camping at Higher Penrose Farm situated on the coast between Helston and Porthleven on the B3304. The site will be open in July and August. The site is 5 minutes walking distance to the coastal footpath where you can walk along to Loe Bar and Porthleven Beach and 5 mts the other way you walk down into the Penrose Walks. Whether you are on holiday at our campsite, a member of a gardening or WI group, or if you fancy a celebration or staff outing with a difference, we have a tour to suit you. There aren’t too many places like Winkleigh left in Britain. It’s a small quiet thatched Devon village with a central square and two pubs, but it’s also almost self-sufficient! Thanks to the old WWII airfield, it is home to all kinds of industry and craft. If you weren’t too fashion minded, you need never shop elsewhere!
