Eagerly Unanticipated

Thursday, May 01, 2008. After looking at my front page one time too many, I'm sick of the same look I had all the way back on study abroad. Also, I think whatever website I had hosting my free hit counter thingy stopped working. So I said, to heck with it, let's pack this puppy up and try out a new look. It's like this page, but new! I'll keep this domain, maybe to tear the template down and start from scratch, but in the meantime, I just wanted something different that was on a technical level I could d...

Eagerly Unanticipated: a spring semester going by even faster than senior year?

http://www.eagerlyunanticipated.blogspot.com/2008/04/spring-semester-going-by-even-faster.html

Wednesday, April 09, 2008. A spring semester going by even faster than senior year? There's been no semblance of routine or normalcy in my life of late, due to the traveling around all over the place, wrecking what had been a perfectly reasonable sleep schedule, etc. But if I start to think about how there's not that much time for me before May, things start to cascade:. And then, I think, taxes can be extended, but, oh JEEZ, I gotta look for a job! I haven't read even half of them yet! Ive continued to ...

Eagerly Unanticipated: March 2006

http://www.eagerlyunanticipated.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 31, 2006. So I figure, take two months off, come back, you gotta go all in (or was that 'all out'? Anyway, the point is: my 21st birthday is tomorrow. And, while some of the lustre has been taken off by that semester in Europe, we definitely hung mostly around dive bars (and mostly for the csocso) in BP, so I'm looking forward to some classiness. Posted by sam at 12:47 PM. Thursday, March 30, 2006. Oops, i'm moody and sometimes emoting puts me in the mood to write. Posted by sam at 4:00 PM.

Eagerly Unanticipated: Taiwan!

http://www.eagerlyunanticipated.blogspot.com/2008/03/taiwan.html

Wednesday, March 12, 2008. I'm leaving for Taiwan tomorrow for a week of vacation! Posted by sam at 11:23 PM. In Hong Kong for vaguely-defined English teaching job. Adventure? Experience, reduced like the sauce we put on chick. The pace of things is picking up. Ive continued to sleep much, much more than any r. Not exactly comparative linguistics, but. Just some smalltalk about the weather.

Eagerly Unanticipated: April 2006

http://www.eagerlyunanticipated.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 19, 2006. The iPod is dead, long live the iPod. Although I'll write about the actual subject of the post in a sec, I just wanted to admit, here and now, that I never understood the phrase I just referenced. Obviously, if the king is dead, he cannot also be alive, so the two words don't have the same referrent, right? On the other hand, in, say, the English monarchy, if Queen Elizabeth II passed, would they say "the queen is dead, long live the king (charles)"? Posted by sam at 1:46 AM.

Six Months in Japan. Saturday, June 23, 2007. To Do in Japan. Seems like a logical thing to post before I leave, and I like lists. So here is the first of many to come. Dance my ass off at some amazing concerts. (I miss good shows. ). Spend an entire day not saying anything in English. (I have no idea how likely this is, but it sounds like a good challenge.). Plant a tree. (I just saw the movie The Fountain and it made me like trees even more.). Does this make me a tool? Would that be worse? I'll use thi...

Amusing myself | my (sub)urban life

https://theyellowperil.wordpress.com/2008/07/01/amusing-myself

An exercise in mental exhibitionism. July 1, 2008. I recently found this new silly way to entertain myself. I watch gay porn, and then play songs on random and see how well it goes together. Here are some songs that worked pretty well:. Albert Chiang – Track 15: This just made the scene seem really sweet. Granted, I was playing this while there was mostly just making out and groping. It’s sunny and makes it seem like just nice, frolicksome fun with teen boys canoodling on a mountain. You are commenting u...

An exercise in mental exhibitionism. The Greatest Band of All Time. December 24, 2007. As some of you know my dream for this Christmas is to have an electric ukulele and a keytar. An exercise in mental exhibitionism. By golly, i think i’ve got it! May 20, 2008. An exercise in mental exhibitionism. On another note…. September 13, 2007. As some of you may know, I’ve been having my Pottermania obsession about 6 weeks later than everyone else. Oh well. Better late than never. Some haters would say better never than ever. Here are two of my favorite Harry Potter parodies:. This is just silly and I enjoy the slutty Gryffindor costumes. Fuck that I’m not oversensitive. September 13, 2007. No matter what you say! I’m also sick of people assuming anything I say ab...
