We have about 30 yards of open water in front of the resort…50 yards in front of the summer homes. The narrows is wide open and Little Cutfoot could go any day. We will have an opener this year! Just another WordPress.com weblog. Laquo; The ice will be gone tomorrow! Beautiful resort day at ENL. May 20, 2014. We had an excellent opener and second weekend at Eagle Nest Lodge. The ice went out on Thursday, May 8, and we were busy putting docks in that day to prepare for our opener guests coming the next day. By Saturday evening, all of the slips were up and running! With a beautiful forecast, and we think shiners will be available, Memorial Weekend might be the best fishing weekend of the year!
