Merry Jackdaw: Hobby Horse renovation - Dobbin gets bell pads
http://merryjackdaw.blogspot.com/2015/04/hobby-horse-renovation-dobbin-gets-bell.html
Tuesday, April 7, 2015. Hobby Horse renovation - Dobbin gets bell pads. Dobbin is what you’d call a Tourney. Hobby Horse, although Dobbin has no fake legs, nor does the rider. His body sits at waist length and he has straps to hold up the rider, (these days that is usually my fellow morris dancing friend Martin). Some similarities come from the Wicker Man film. Version 1.0 (2005). Version 2.0 (2006). Version 2.0 in October 2006 ready to use. Dobbin version 2.0 in January. 2015 in dire need of renovation.

The following is from a post I made to ASHmail on November 4, 2011]. I suspect there to be a tendency in Heathendom to dismiss various myths that we ourselves would rather not exist as being of Christian origin. After all, who would not prefer a Heathen mythology that did not have the likes of Loki, the death of Bealdor, or Ragnarök?

Jön Upsal's Garden: "Folkish" does not mean "racist"
http://jonupsalsgarden.blogspot.com/2013/09/does-not-mean.html
Sunday, September 22, 2013. Folkish does not mean racist. This post has been a long time coming, because I've seen over my many years as an Ásatrúar and Théodsman the same, sometimes unspoken, sometimes quite loudly spoken, assertion that to be Folkish is to be a racist. Speaking as someone who is Folkish myself, I can say that this is not true, but such a simple assertion is not sufficient. Racism is defined as. This is a view that has been challenged in academia since it was first put forth, but Pooja ...
