Tuesday, August 25, 2009. What a trip full of surprises this was! I thought I knew a lot about that part of the world, but I found out that it was very different from my preconceived notions. As usual, Jeri combined several trips into one, so we started out with a Great Wall hiking trip, and ended with a Tibet "nomadic hiking" tour. Throughout the long drives, we passed through fields where we saw field hands working with hoes. I doubt that I have ever seen a man with a hoe in the US! On the country road...
