The temperature warms, the snow melts, the days get longer, the birds return, and the dormancy of winter comes to life. For me, this past winter was a busy one which kept me from writing here and distracted me from my usual kitchen inspiration. Eat it out of season the rest of the year. Earthmuffin Adventures: May 2012

http://earthmuffinadventures.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

Sunday, May 27, 2012. Offer me a glass of wine and surely I will oblige, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Offer me a beer and I will likely stick with my glass of water.unless, of course, it is a beautiful Belgian beer from Brasserie V. Nigella tempted me with Rhubarb Schnapps and a new way for me to enjoy both rhubarb and liquor was born. Making infusions is so very easy and so very fun. You just have to have a little patience. Recently I stumbled upon Dry Soda. This stuff is amazing! 1 half gallon B...

Friday, June 8, 2012. With all of the abundance growing rapidly around us, it's been hard for me to narrow down what I want to write about. I decided to go with what's got my keenest attention at the moment. It isn't even something grown locally, but it is something that is in the peak of its season. Copper River Salmon. Copper River King Salmon from www.alaskadispatch.com. Copper River King has the shortest commercial season from mid-May through mid-June. From www.copperriversalmonwholesale.com. The fis...

http://earthmuffinadventures.blogspot.com/2012/07/feel-little-blue-to-brighten-your-day.html

Monday, July 9, 2012. A Little Blue to Brighten Your Day. As I was getting ready to put together one of my more favorite breakfasts, it struck me that I should be sharing this with all of you! Especially now that fresh blueberries are gracing the stands of local farmer's markets. This bowl of deliciousness is a snap to prepare, is nutritious, and will keep you feeling satisfied well in to your day. I can't think of anything better than that! 1 Butler Farms sheep's milk ricotta cheese. 2 fresh lemon zest.

http://thepainteddaisy72.blogspot.com/2011/05/so-much-for-keeping-up-with.html

Wednesday, May 25, 2011. So much for keeping up with the blog.starting over! So the first 5 months of 2011 have gone by in a blur. A blur of sweaters, sweater dust and upcycled sweater creations! Here's a very, very small sampling of what I've been up to:. A few weeks ago I finally pulled the plug on the sweater machine, in order to work on a few lighter weight, spring/summer creations. Since then I've been making skirts, vacuuming sweater dust and scheming new ideas and possibilities.

http://thepainteddaisy72.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Tuesday, December 28, 2010. First, let me start by saying I have been horrible at keeping up with blog posts. That is all going to change in 2011! My New Years resolution is to post something interesting about my sewing business, the upholstery shop, my life or anything EVERY week in 2011! I will even label the posts 1 - 52 for each week. I have been hauling that broken cuckoo clock around for 13 years! Hmmmm, I'll report on that after it is hung and working :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Earth Muffin Bakes

Monday, April 27, 2009. I have been absent from the blog and from Daring Bakers for the past couple of months for several reasons, some of which are actually acceptable. Chiefly, because I will finish library school in a matter of weeks and am currently searching for a full time job. When I have more free time and less anxiety, I hope to post with increasing regularity. Anyway, I couldn't turn down this particular challenge: cheesecake! The cheesecake recipe can be found over at Jenny Bakes. I ended up w...

A few of my favorite lovely little things. Sunday, January 26, 2014. Taryn of Wooly Moss Roots. In celebrating a few things that I am so very thankful for. This week I am thankful for. The cold winter weather with occasional snow showers. It has made me appreciate snuggly wooly warm things, hot tea, and steel cut oats in new ways. The snow is so pretty too!
