Friday, January 29, 2010. Most of the time pyrophyllite is in a massive form as a constituent of slate and other metamorphic rocks. Basaltic- This rock is used everytime when you drive on the roads. Also whenever you go into a building you're going in to basaltic rock. Sandstone- This is another kind of rock that is used in the building of houses. Slate- This is used for roofs.
