Loving Life in Oakland CA. A blog about exploring the city of Oakland. Natural Bridges in Santa Cruz, CA. I was lucky enough to spend the weekend in Santa Cruz, CA. It was truly the first place I lived when moving to CA when I started college. It’s where I spent all 4 years of college and it’s where I met my gorgeous and amazing husband. And it’s always wonderful to be back there, it’s where we would like to retire someday soon. Amazingly, I had never been to Natural Bridges State Park. September 28, 2015.

I decided to try a difficult hike from the Trails Challenge. The distance was not long but the elevation change was substantial, especially the last part of the hike. Today’s hike also went past the stone bridge, but made a loop from the other side of the park. And it never went past the lake. I passed many interesting wildflowers.
