Die Entscheidung, die ich gestern traf, mit dem Taxi von London Victoria nach Kings Cross zu fahren, wo mein Zug nach Cambridge abfuhr, war eine gute! Ich hätte es niemal geschafft, mit der Masse an Gepäck in die U Bahn zu kommen. Meine neue Gastfamilie ist ein älteres, sehr nettes Ehepaar. Sie beherbergen öfter Studenten, davon zeugen die 3 (! Museen: langweilige, verstaubte, leere Gebäude! Der Eintritt von 17 Pfund verschlug einem jedoch erst einmal die Sprache. Zum Glück hatte ich meinen Bibliotheksausweis der Uni von Brighton dabei und somit kostete es nur 14,50 Euro. Dieses Geld war allerdings wirklich gut angelegt! Wenn jemand rauchen möchte, muss er schon den Balkon finden…. Das war der Spruch, den die Stewardess vor meinem gestrigen Rückflug nach Berlin sagte. Den Balkon hat allerdings keiner gefunden…. Es wird glaube ich noch einige Tage dauern, ehe ich mich wieder eingewöhnt habe.
