Waterloo to Mons : December 2014
http://waterlootomons.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Monday, 29 December 2014. I could not let 2014 without at least one more post. Here are the only figures I have managed to paint in two months, the lovely N1 Naval Brigade Sailor advancing. Jacklex 20mm sailors from HMS Nostalgia! I am going for "look good en mass" appeal, but with output currently at less than a figure a week it is going to take some imagination at the moment! So, Happy New Year to you all and I will be back in early 2015. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Hinton Hunt Vintage Wargame Figures.

Waterloo to Mons : September 2014
http://waterlootomons.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, 28 September 2014. I have finally finished the remaining Pax Britannica/RSM 95 ACW figures. A restrained pose for the Southern cavaliers I think. This marks the last of the commission work and so I am able to say whatever comes next is all for me.hooray! I will start by adding to the 1914 British and will probably not return to the "War Between the States" chapter until the New Year when I pick up on those Western theatre 10mm figures started in the Spring. Tuesday, 31 March 2015. Second Box of Soldiers Complete! The second box of Revell British artillery is finished and packed off heading for the Battle of Waterloo diorama. I am now working on some rather lovely Hinton Hunt British for Ian and Roy's Battle of Waterloo re-fight. I plan to get some of my own ACW and Colonial figures painted up before I return to more plastic artillery for the diorama. Hopefully the Bank Holiday weekend will produce some more pictures. Quite a lot of pieces actually in a bright blue plastic that goes to make up these:. Two mounted officers, two gun and crews firing and some "bits". Plus the limber gun and limber crew.made up of thousands of pieces, nearly! Next up, possibly even tomorrow, is "What do you get in a box of HaT French Ambulance wagons? Labels: Battle of Waterloo. Waterloo to Mons : April 2015
http://waterlootomons.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, 23 April 2015. Even More British Artillery c.1815. After a good start on the painting front April tailed off a lot and so I am rather pleased to be able to get one more post in. More British Waterloo artillery, this time from "House of Campaign". The number of poses is a lot less than the Revell plastics but they look the part. I have six more guns and crews to finish off and before I move on to the French, starting with the Italeri French Guard Horse Artillery. Labels: Battle of Waterloo.

Waterloo to Mons : August 2014
http://waterlootomons.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Friday, 15 August 2014. Wargaming the Franco Prussian War. 40mm Grenadier of Napoleon III's Imperial Guard 1870. I did intend to finish up some more ACW figures before introducing the Franco Prussian War onto the blog. However I started to paint this 40mm figures from Gringo 40s Miniatures. And, well, I could not stop. The chapter of Glover's book that has always grabbed my attention is "The Rise of Prussia" and lets face it, when it comes to European Wars of the 19th Century the FPW is "the big one".

Monday, 27 October 2014. Bringing Up the Guns. I finally have something new to show for October.hoorah! 18pdr Limber and Crew from the Tumbling Dice "Old Contemptibles" 20mm range. Hopefully things will calm down after a while otherwise my (already slow) painting output will become positively glacial. For now though I have a few more 1914 German infantry prepped and ready for painting-hopefully finished before I go back to work next week. Labels: Battle of Mons. Wednesday, 8 October 2014. Waterloo to Mons : Italeri French Guard Artillery a WIP
http://waterlootomons.blogspot.com/2015/05/italeri-french-guard-artillery-wip.html
Tuesday, 5 May 2015. Italeri French Guard Artillery a WIP. Incredibly it has been well over a week since Salute. Took my youngest son again who really enjoyed the day out and together we have made plans about our wargaming future. More on this later but we have bought into a rather excellent 15mm Scifi range and rule set amongst other changes. This is how to dress when confronting the enemy! I have also completed the last six British artillery in addition to the last post. Busy times ahead! This blog is ...
