Life Out Here: July 2015

A slice of life in a small town on the East End of Long Island. Friday, July 31, 2015. Tonight there will be a "blue moon". That brings back memories to me! Then she stepped out again to sing with the jazz band and she did a song I'd never heard before titled "Blue Moon". You know the one-it was popular in the 5Os: "Blue moon, you caught me standing alone.". I imagined a moon the shade of blue, with no idea what the term really meant! Thursday, July 30, 2015. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. But now we are havi...

Life Out Here: Quiet
http://iloveeasthampton.blogspot.com/2015/08/quiet.html
A slice of life in a small town on the East End of Long Island. Sunday, August 2, 2015. The house is so quiet today. The visiting family has left after a nice long visit.and I keep waiting for them to come in from the beach and bring the energy and chaos with them. We've had weeks now with family company and more scheduled lives than normal. But they're gone now and we'll return to our usual, oddly unscheduled lives. Busy enough, but different all the time. The house is so quiet today. OK I Hear You God!

Life Out Here: March 2015
http://iloveeasthampton.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
A slice of life in a small town on the East End of Long Island. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. So today is the end. The end of the month, the end of the season, the end of a record breaking year. The winter of 2015 will wine for the record books and most people are happy to see it end. I am not one of them. Monday, March 30, 2015. I remember back when I was a kid and pizza was a luxury item. Can you imagine? On Sunday nights they had another couple over to watch "Maverick" on television, and they often had a p...

Life Out Here: December 2014
http://iloveeasthampton.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
A slice of life in a small town on the East End of Long Island. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. This is the first year in a long time that we'll be celebrating New Year's Eve at home. And we would put the kids to bed and enjoy a quiet night alone. It was a good time, just the two of us with candlelight and good food. Tuesday, December 30, 2014. It is a bit startling, the speed at which our years go by as we get older. Isn't it? I know when my kids were growing up I thought time went quickly. But now I ...

Life Out Here: April 2015
http://iloveeasthampton.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
A slice of life in a small town on the East End of Long Island. Thursday, April 30, 2015. Time to say goodbye to April and hello to May. Rarely do months fly by any faster than this one has. Perhaps it was the crazy weather, of maybe it had to do with my busy April schedule. Regardless of the reason, April is now to be a memory and May is stretching out ahead of us, all open and ready to be enjoyed. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Is this the precursor to a knee replacement? Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Fortunate...
