Easy Peasy Fiction : February 2015
http://www.easypeasyfiction.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
February 21, 2015. Finding Inspiration in History. I'm a history nerd. I just can't help it. Since I first discovered historical fiction in the first grade, I was set on a path that has led me to today. It's probably not that surprising then, that after months of wracking my brain to find a name for the island / kingdom in my Historical Fantasy. That I began to look towards history for inspiration. A few days ago I stumbled upon an article on Medievalists.net. So, I'm getting back to my fantasy piece now...

They have to be desperate enough to occupy the shadowy gap between justice and the law. They learned of a horrible murder (though they themselves were not personally connected to it). To as in ...
Easy Peasy Fiction : December 2014
http://www.easypeasyfiction.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
December 28, 2014. Projects (Old and New) for the New Year. It has been about a month since I have posted anything and as I sipped my afternoon tea, I decided that today was as good a day as any to update the world on my writing adventures. In November I won NanoWrimo which is in itself a spectacular feat but I feel all the more accomplished considering I started a bit late and made a remarkable come back with the bulk of my manuscript furiously typed during the last week. It is, of course, a massive end...
Easy Peasy Fiction : November 2014
http://www.easypeasyfiction.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
November 24, 2014. November is the National Novel Writing Month - a wonderful little challenge where writers from around the globe participate in the hopes of creating something. The goal is to create a 50,000 word manuscript in a single month. Where you can read more about the novel I am working on and even read a sizable excerpt of my first draft. I think this works well for the (Neo) Noir piece. It's Day 24 and I'm supposed to be at 40,000 words . I'm nearly at 27,000 (which is 113 pages).
Easy Peasy Fiction : August 2014
http://www.easypeasyfiction.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
August 27, 2014. Moving Forward by Looking Back . I've been working on making some of the secondary characters more complex. I now have a detailed outline of their pasts which will help me to decide how they react in the present. I've been working to interweave everyone's story line so that the actions, if not the characters themselves, (in each of the three regions) more deeply affect all of the others. I've also been working on the love triangle. Who doesn't love good drama in a book? Stephanie is a fr...
