Not all those who wander are lost. May 16, 2013. We stopped for lunch at Blue Mountain shelter and then headed for Unicoi. My feet were on fire and the blisters on my thumbs from my trekking poles were broken and sore. The trail down from Blue Mountain killed my toes. Not all those who wander are lost. What is the Appalachian Trail? A map of the AT. How long does it take to hike the AT? On average they say it takes a person anywhere from 5 to 7 months. So naturally I plan on it taking me about 6. I may be faster or slower than my estimate but to finish in 6 months I need to hike an average of about 12 miles a day. What are you going to eat? Not all those who wander are lost. Living life to the fullest. Some cows somewhere along the way. The skatepark I mentioned. The road in CO. The first time I saw the Pacific. A doughnut with Captain Crunch on it. Giant seaweed, see dog as size reference. Ecola State Park view. And now I’m home again.
