http://eatingforolivia.blogspot.com/2010/08/week-3-4-challenge.html

Personal stories and resource guide for breast-feeding women and their allergy prone infant. Sunday, August 22, 2010. Week 3-4: The challenge. It has been about 2 weeks since Olivia has had a bloody stool. Yeah! So this week starts the challenge. When completing an elimination diet it is recommended that you challenge the food for 3 days before moving on to the next food. If symptoms arise you must cease intake of the food and wait for symptoms to clear. Christine - Olivia's Mom. You are amazing woman!

Personal stories and resource guide for breast-feeding women and their allergy prone infant. Friday, August 27, 2010. Week 4: Getting by with a little help. I have not commented yet on the power of support that other mothers can provide when you are struggling to determine if breast feeding can continue while your infant's food allergy continues. The support of many moms is what assisted in getting through 5 weeks of bloody diapers to now 2.5 weeks of no bloody stools. Christine - Olivia's Mom. Article:C...

The Bower Family Happenings: December 2013

http://bowerfamilyhappenings.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Day in the Life. Marry Me, Korean Beef. Friday, December 13, 2013. Yesterday I went to Santa Rosa to run a ton of errands. Here's how it went down:. Dropped Eddie off at the bus at 7:15 am. Ate breakfast, cleaned up the kitchen, and pulled out of Gualala at 7:45 am. Pulled into Lowe's at 9:15 am to pick up a new, super-discounted, super-efficient washing machine. Dave calculated that it will pay for itself in only 3 years in water alone. Costco for a carpet steam cleaner and the usual bulk groceries....

Day in the Life. Retroactive Post: Spring Break on the Coast. Memorial Day Week: Moving, Unpacking, and Espresso. Wednesday, June 19, 2013. WelpI moved all my stuff out of my office on Monday night. Eddie came along because I promised him some show-watching time while I packed the boxes (and Dave wanted some Eddie-free time to pack the trailer). I moved into this office in January 2010 when I returned from PELP/maternity leave. Eddie was a wee 4.5 months old then. I LOVE these new Picasa gif's! Agreed so...

Day in the Life. Christmas Break Trip to the Bay Area. Saturday, January 11, 2014. I've been making this granola for several years now. It's a modified version of Megan's Granola. On AllRecipes.com. Once Jennifer entered our family, I started making it gluten free instead so I can share it with her. This recipe is a great way for us to use up the dark honey we harvest each September. It's a little intense in flavor kind of like a mild molasses. This granola is soooooooooo yummy! 8 cups rolled oats. The s...

Day in the Life. MLK Weekend in Gualala with Friends. Eddies First Trip to the Dentist. New Years and Gualala. Eddies First (and Second) Trip to the Snow. Pre-Christmas Trip to Livermore. Wednesday, January 30, 2013. So I've had a sinus cold for the last five or so days. Although maybe technically it's been almost 3 weeks since it started with a headache and that post-nasal drip irritation in my throat. But the boogers and dripping really got going five days ago. The weird thing is, I don't feel. The swi...

Day in the Life. The Slowest Way to Move. Picnic Day Weekend 2013. April Rose Photo 2013. Eddies Thoughts at 3.5 Years Old. Monday, April 29, 2013. The Slowest Way to Move. You know those folks who pay movers to not only move their stuff to a new location, but also to pack. I can't imagine the cost associated with something like that, but sometimes I sure wish we were going that route. But of course we're not. I'm still dreading the garage though- not only do we have a lot. Office now. The futon belo...

So, following daycare rules, I had to keep him home until he was fever free for 24 hours. Edward still came up to hang out with us anyway, since it was clear that Eddie wasn't that. Sick And I'm glad he did because otherwise it would have just been any ol' sick day at home with Eddie. As it turned out, Eddie was symptom free all day Tuesday. We didn't actually do.

The Bower Family Happenings: November 2013

Day in the Life. Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Guess what Eddie was for Halloween? If you're not sure, think about these facts:. He thinks he's really strong and tough. He debated on his costume for a couple of weeks.until we got to the store last month and he spied the double sword/double sai ninja weapon pack on the shelf. HE NEEDED TO HAVE THESE WEAPONS IN HIS POSSESSION. So he promptly decided to be a ninja. Have you ever seen such a cute ninja? Next to a new stove in a box! There was a parade and a par...

Day in the Life. Eddie at 3.5. Tuesday, February 26, 2013. Oh my goodness, we've been busy. But happily busy so it's okay. I have a whiteboard in my home office that I update every few days with my tasks. The top is my dissertation chapter list, the bottom left is today's list (yeah right am I getting all that done! http://bowerfamilyhappenings.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Day in the Life. Thursday, October 17, 2013. Goodness.I haven't posted anything in quite sometime. I used to blog at my school desk on campus during slow-brain moments when I needed to let my subconscious work out some complex data-related thing. And these days I don't sit at a school desk often enough for that to even happen. So on the rare occasions when I DO sit down to work I actually WORK. How novel. We are still running now that the race is over so we can do other races, too. Taking care of my in-l...

eating for one, cooking for two

Tuesday, 14 December 2010. WHERE DID YOU GO? You might be asking. Or you might not be asking that, as you know where I've been. Or you didn't really care in the first place. But I'll tell you anyway. I also have not been worrying (as much) about the exact health content of my recipes - measuring out the oil, for example. That may or may not come back in time, we'll see. I think it probably will return once I start cooking for three - which is at least a month and a half away. Then come the ad...I'm still...
