Eating the Garden: Cucumber juice with a touch of lime
http://eatingthegarden.blogspot.com/2016/07/cucumber-juice-with-touch-of-lime.html
Wednesday, July 13, 2016. Cucumber juice with a touch of lime. Funny looking cucumber :P. Summer gardening for me means lots of cucumbers! I love to grow Armenian cucumbers and give them to friends and neighbors. They look so interesting, and taste so good! This juice is so good. Everytime I make it for a party it is a huge hit! It is so yummy! I tried to fit it all in one go.haha. With a touch of lime. 3 12in long armenian cucumbers (or about 4.5 cups of diced cucumber, peeled and seeded). Add cucumbers...
Eating the Garden: July 2016
http://eatingthegarden.blogspot.com/2016_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 25, 2016. Today I was able to get so much done! Markem and Maylee played in the blow up pool while I cleaned up. We had a relatively cool morning, and I was able to get a lot of work done in the backyard. After that we headed over to the library for some fun dinosaur games, and stories. Markem and his BFF enjoying some watermelon in the backyard. We had friends over after dinner for family home evening, and it was nice for the kids to enjoy a clean backyard! 2/3 cup warm water. When the roll...
Eating the Garden: Country fried okra
http://eatingthegarden.blogspot.com/2016/07/country-fried-okra.html
Thursday, July 14, 2016. I have been collecting okra daily from my seven okra plants, so. I thought I would try my hand at fried okra. It may not be the healthiest of foods, but this goes under the serious comfort foods for me! I have such found memories of eating fried okra at my grandma's house. She would fry up a huge pile for everyone, along with fried squash, mashed potatoes, homegrown sliced tomatoes, green beans, and lots of gravy. Anyway, It turns out it is easy! 1 cup corn meal.
Eating the Garden: Training cucumbers onto a support
http://eatingthegarden.blogspot.com/2016/07/training-cucumbers-onto-support.html
Monday, July 11, 2016. Training cucumbers onto a support. Growing vine cucumbers on a vertical support can go array unless you know a few basics to keep them contained. Cucumbers will not naturally find and climb on supports like peas, or morning glorys, they must be trained. They have a crawling and sprawling habit and without constant training and pruning, will end up looking like a huge mess like mine! Some of the advantages to training cukes are:. Easier access fruit for harvest. Simple theme. Po...
Eating the Garden: Taming the Jungle
http://eatingthegarden.blogspot.com/2016/07/taming-jungle.html
Monday, July 11, 2016. So I don't get super freaked out by weeds. Actually I like to watch them grow. I think they are pretty interesting, so as long as they are not super invasive, or blocking something, I let them do their thing.Well after a few months of that, I decided I wanted to start cleaning up for my fall garden, and I realized how scary things had become. Before. This is super embarrissing! I decided to get up early to tackle the wildflower patch and path because this Texas heat is no joke!

http://wordpress.theinadvertentgardener.com/2007/05/15/the-arrival-of-the-tomato-circus
It's amazing what I'll do for a good tomato. Skip to Content ↓. What they’re saying. Wacky paths to the garden. The arrival of the tomato circus. May 15th, 2007. Back when the weather was still cold and dreary, I put in a very special order with SeedSavers: a six-pack of heirloom tomato seedlings. Scheduled for shipping between May 5 and 7. I was pleased to note, when they arrived, that they had been certified healthy. Thank you, Robert A. Dahl, Supervisor, Plant Protection. The weather outside could not...

Eating The Fruit
When the woman saw that the tree was good for eating and a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable as a source of wisdom, she took of its fruit and ate." -Genesis 3:6 (Ashkenazic Jewish translation). Eating the Garden | Tilling and Grilling
April 12, 2011 by cremarie. The winter garden did really well this year with minimal care thanks to record rains in San Diego. Everyone on my block got a huge bag of lettuce at least once this season, and the cabbage, brussels sprouts and artichokes are filling our bellies. The back bed in the picture below is filled to the brim with chard and beets, and however many stems I harvest, it seems like I wake up to a full bed each morning. Something must be done! Chard and Potato Strudel. 1 onion, diced.
