Laquo; The Guild Inn. My Granddaughter in the Garden. Infrared Impressions of Montreal. June 26, 2013 by ghammer. Now with digital it is instant gratification and I do not have a problem with that at all. I plug the camera into the computer, watch the pics (have to call them pics now) flow onto the screen and then the fun begins in Photoshop. Although I miss the special quality that film had digital photo paper is fast improving. Across the street a baseball game had begun. And saw this very interesting ...

Bearpig | Photographic Journeys
https://hammerphotography.wordpress.com/bearpig
I collect pigs and one of them is a bear dressed in a pig costume. It seemed logical to name him Bearpig and I thought it would be fun to take Bearpig along with me when I went out photographing. Bearpig and the Merry Season of Chocolate. Bearpig surveys the Golden prize and is in awe…. Nothing stops him…he’s managed to climb up to the top and now sees the chocolate delights below. And this is when he realized that he hadn’t gotten away with it……. Bearpig Meets the Granddaughter. Honestly I just never kn...

My Granddaughter’s First Purse. May 24, 2012 by ghammer. And there it was on a hook…a little pink purse. I handed the purse to my granddaughter and she immediately put it over her arm just where it should be. I melted! Of course I bought it for her and when we got home she walked around the house with her pink purse over her arm. March 15, 2012 by ghammer. First pic – art student with a not bad looking piece of art. Quel surprise. Rue ste. catherine. Is she thinking what I think she’s thinking? Norman Be...

4 Legs | Photographic Journeys
https://hammerphotography.wordpress.com/four-legs
All the Dogs in my Life. Having a dog back in those days was very different than now…sometimes dogs would take themselves for a walk, nobody ever picked up after their dogs and what was a vet? Tooshar was just two months old when I got him and he was absolutely adorable! People would stop me in the street just to pat him and make a fuss. When the dogs were together people would point at them and exclaim “wow, black and white! Sheba turned out to be an Alpha female and she and I were definitely at odds...

About me | Photographic Journeys
https://hammerphotography.wordpress.com/about-me
Although I find it difficult to articulate the meaning of this passion I know that when I look through my lens and see what I am feeling at that moment I experience something akin to joy. Now that we’re living in a digital world there aren’t too many opportunities to look through photo albums or loose snapshots kept in cookie tins or shoe boxes. The snapshot has been around since the camera was invented. I am presently reading a book called. The Art of the American Snapshot 1888-1978. Thanks Diane.mu...

Laquo; My Granddaughter’s First Purse. Trying to Catch Up! July 3, 2012 by ghammer. The main reason that I like country fairs is being able to bring my camera and have a great time photographing all the activity. The weather was hot, a bit cloudy…perfect for photography and the chosen cameras were the Canon Rebel T2i and Fuji digital infrared. The memory card for the infrared failed almost immediately and I will admit that I was not carrying another one. These Percherons are absolutely gorgeous! Of cours...

Laquo; The Schomberg Fair. Trying to Catch Up! October 10, 2012 by ghammer. No excuses…but it was a great summer and I have been really busy. I started to horseback ride again, I was very busy making lampshades for the Cabbagetown Arts and Crafts Festival, we all (the family) spent a wonderful week up north in and around Dorset, and of course every week I spent two wonderful days with my amazing granddaughter! The kid loves the dog and the dog loves the kid! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. The Baby is My Boss.
