Lindsay's super fun UW Research Journal! Friday, February 16, 2007. I will do my best to write about something that connects to our class in someway. I like direction, so an open journal entry is a little scary. I think that's pretty much it about diaries, now I'll just ramble about my life for a bit. I really should do laundry, but it's 4:00pm on a Friday and I have absolutely no desire to. I don't think I have any socks left though. Oh well. Her clock is ticking. I think that's it for my exciting news.

Fallout: August 2011
http://writingfallout.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Whatever falls out, whenever it has time. Tuesday, August 16, 2011. All in the Timing. This evening was a race against the clock- picked up kids from daycare (late), rushed home, baked chicken nuggets in the oven and boiled whole wheat rotini on the stove, chopped up cucumber and filled water glasses. Called them both to the table, reminding them to wash hands on the way over. Me (to Syd): Bring me your plate and glass, and put away the ketchup please. Syd: Why do I hafta do everything around here? Me: T...

Fallout: The Girlfriend
http://writingfallout.blogspot.com/2012/06/girlfriend.html
Whatever falls out, whenever it has time. Saturday, June 16, 2012. A conversation between my son- age 6- and me, as I'm tucking him into bed for the night. He has mentioned a few friends, two of whom happen to be girls.). Me: Is she nice? Me: Is the other one nice? Me: Is she cute? Sam: I don't know. Me: Is she your girlfriend? Sam: No. (beat) I guess I need to get one of those. Me: One of what? Me: Oh, you have time. Me: Lots of time. Sam: Like how long? Me: I don't know. Twenty-five? Date me, D.C!

Whatever falls out, whenever it has time. Wednesday, July 18, 2012. It is amazing how clear the solutions to problems become when I look at them from a position of love, not fear. Fear never did anything for me except hold me back and make me eat. I am done with fear. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Fallout: Their Taste in Music
http://writingfallout.blogspot.com/2012/06/their-taste-in-music.html
Whatever falls out, whenever it has time. Saturday, June 16, 2012. Their Taste in Music. And other more palatable selections (relative to the Wiggles). While I still give my kids liberal exposure to musical theater (they have to know their heritage, after all), and nothing warmed my heart more than having my daughter request patter songs from Into the Woods. And Kerrigan and Lowdermilk's "Party Dress". Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Queen, music from Glee. Taio Cruz, the Black Eyed Peas, and beyond. Syd: (who...

The New Low: September 2008
http://thenewllow.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Random musings and observations. Not guaranteed to be pertinent to your life. Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Weather, And under it. It's getting cold. The space heater's out. But I have a migraine (although that could have resulted from my friend J who called my phone at 4:18 am) that usually exacerbates from the cold snap. This afternoon, the air was crisp. I loved it. But tonight, I was wrapped up in a soft throw while watching TV in the "basement". Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Saturday, September 6, 2008.

The New Low: The worst of times has not even hit yet
http://thenewllow.blogspot.com/2008/11/worst-of-times-has-not-even-hit-yet.html
Random musings and observations. Not guaranteed to be pertinent to your life. Tuesday, November 11, 2008. The worst of times has not even hit yet. And I'm sick, sick to the depths of my stomach that I will have these horrific stories to tell future generations of my generation's bad economic times, layoffs. I never want to relive those moments again, but in these bad economic times, when downsizing is so rampant, one can never tell when the bad news were to come from the top. Tuesday, November 11, 2008.

The New Low: March 2008
http://thenewllow.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Random musings and observations. Not guaranteed to be pertinent to your life. Friday, March 21, 2008. In the interest of knowledge . I tried to resist, thought I fought the good fight but I lost. I’m sadly another registered number in the Facebook network. I put off friends’ invitation with the valid reason I don’t need another site to login to and update. Like M, the reason I joined was in the interest of learning more of the everchanging or everadapting internet. There’s just no escaping it. I finally ...

The New Low: August 2008
http://thenewllow.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Random musings and observations. Not guaranteed to be pertinent to your life. Sunday, August 31, 2008. I'm truly fortunate to grow up in Singapore. Because of her location's integral ties to maritime activity, historical and present, we have the luxury of influences from all over the world, including our gastronomy. That said, it is of little wonder that most Singaporeans are inclined to try almost any food once. Bacon flavor wears off. But hey, to each his own, and don't let ME influence you all THAT mu...

The New Low: Always wary ... that's my game
http://thenewllow.blogspot.com/2008/10/always-wary-thats-my-game.html
Random musings and observations. Not guaranteed to be pertinent to your life. Sunday, October 5, 2008. Always wary . that's my game. I've always been untrusting of people. A girl friend of mine, C, can tell you that. We first met a job fair. I was waiting for the prep talk to begin when C came up and sat right next to me, in spite of all the empty chairs around. I was right to assume that she chose me because I'm Asian like her, and we share that common bond. I would be the asshole who intruded on his.
