51° 49 N. 1° 44 W. Eccleshill is a small suburb of Bradford, West Yorkshire (really the West Riding of Yorkshire! As it's name suggests, it is a hill, overlooking the Aire Valley. Around 2 square miles in size with a population of 14,800. Although a high proportion of the population are recent migrants (10%)*, there's is far less Asian influence that other areas of Bradford (less than 1%).*. The climate is typical of northern England, summer temparatures ave 16C, winter 7C.
